Arts for All Grant

The Arts for All grant, offered through the Greater Harrisburg Community Foundation—a regional foundation of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (TFEC)—is a specialized funding initiative designed to bolster the capacity and impact of arts and cultural programming throughout South Central Pennsylvania. This initiative consolidates a variety of funding sources under a single application process to streamline access for arts organizations while amplifying their reach and effectiveness across local communities. This grant opportunity specifically supports nonprofit organizations that deliver programs aimed at integrating cultural appreciation into the daily experiences of underserved audiences. By investing in artistic expression and community engagement, the Arts for All grant seeks to cultivate a shared cultural identity and promote inclusivity. The grant supports a range of projects, including free public performances, ticket subsidy programs, youth-focused engagement, educational outreach, and the purchase of equipment that contributes meaningfully to program efficiency or expansion. The program prioritizes funding for initiatives that enhance accessibility and increase participation in the arts among diverse, underserved, or economically disadvantaged populations. Organizations proposing innovative ways to broaden civic engagement through arts and cultural programming are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants may request up to $7,500, and all funded projects must take place during the defined grant year, beginning on September 1 and ending August 31 of the following year. Eligible applicants must be either 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or have a registered 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Additionally, the grant is geographically restricted to organizations serving the counties of Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon, Perry, and the Dillsburg Area of Northern York County. The application window opens on February 1 and closes on May 1. Notifications of funding decisions are issued by August 1. A draft application review is available up to two weeks before the deadline upon request. Grant proposals are evaluated by the Arts for All Advisory Committee based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including alignment with the mission, clarity of program narrative, strength of partnerships, financial planning, measurable outcomes, and commitments to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Programs that meet these standards and demonstrate a strong local impact are the most competitive.
