Kawabe Memorial Fund

The Kawabe Memorial Fund supports the general operations and programs of nonprofit agencies devoted to the care of low-income children, families, and seniors. Additionally, it offers capital grants to churches and scholarships for teachers and clergy. While most grants are awarded within Seattle and King County, specifically in the greater Seattle area, exceptions include the Seward scholarships. Eligible applicants are community-based organizations with budgets under $5 million. Proposals must be submitted by the second Friday in March, June, or September. Grants are typically for one year, and requests for both specific programs and general operating support are considered.
