The Workplace Safety Grants for Health Care Entities program, authorized by 2023 Session Law Chapter 70, Article 4, Section 109, is established to award grants to increase safety measures in health care settings and establish or expand programs to train staff in health care settings on de-escalation and positive support services. The overarching goal of the Workplace Safety Grants for Health Care Entities program is to make long-term improvements in safety and stability for staff and patients in health care settings. Funding Information MDH anticipates awarding approximately $1,500,000 through 30 grants in this funding cycle. The maximum award amount is $50,000. Grant agreements begin (estimated): October 1, 2024. Grant agreements end: September 30, 2025. Eligible Applicants  The following health care entities are eligible to apply for funding: Long-term care facilities Acute care hospitals that are staffed for 49 beds or fewer and located in a rural area Critical access hospitals Medical clinics Dental clinics Community health clinics.
