Clinton County Tourism Grant
This funding opportunity supports businesses and organizations in Clinton County, Pennsylvania, to enhance tourism through projects that improve visitor experiences and encourage overnight stays.
The 2026 Clinton County Tourism Grant is an annual funding opportunity administered by the Clinton County Economic Partnership (CCEP), a private nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering economic growth in Clinton County, Pennsylvania. The CCEP operates as a collaborative entity that encompasses the Chamber of Commerce, Visitors Bureau, and Industrial Development Authority. Its mission is to promote Clinton County as a compelling destination and support the businesses and organizations that contribute to its vibrancy and appeal. The Tourism Grant program is specifically designed to enhance the visitor experience and increase overnight stays within the county. Eligible projects include a wide range of initiatives such as capital improvements to tourist attractions, targeted marketing efforts that reach audiences located at least 50 miles away, and special programs or events that promote collaboration and attract tourists. Priority is given to proposals that encourage overnight stays, involve partnerships, target new visitor markets, and improve the overall tourism landscape of the region. Applicants must be current members of the CCEP or become members at the time of submission. Both nonprofit and for-profit entities are eligible to apply, but each organization may only apply for one individual grant per cycle. An organization may also participate as a partner on one additional application. Previous recipients are welcome to reapply; however, priority consideration is given to new projects. All applications must align with Pennsylvania’s Act 18, requiring a local match of at least 25% in cash or in-kind contributions, and must demonstrate direct and substantial relevance to tourism development. Grants will not support standard operational expenses, political or religious activities, or the development of websites. Advertising funded by the grant must target areas beyond a 50-mile radius and avoid local publications. Additionally, all funded projects are required to display the Clinton County Economic Partnership branding and, in the case of audio or video media, must include the phrase, “project/event made possible by the Clinton County Tourism grant.” The application window opens December 15, 2025, and all applications must be submitted electronically by March 9, 2026. Awards will be announced at the Toast to Tourism event scheduled for May 28, 2026. The project implementation period runs from July 1, 2026, through July 1, 2027. Recipients are expected to submit a final report and reimbursement request no later than September 1, 2027, or within 90 days of project completion, whichever comes first. Evaluation of impact will be based on metrics such as room nights, attendance, and marketing reach. The grant committee reserves the right to withhold funds if insufficient applications are received. Applicants must submit their materials via email in a uniquely named PDF format and are permitted to attach additional pages if needed. All submissions should follow the detailed formatting and content guidelines provided in the official application document. Questions may be directed to [email protected] or 570-748-5782.
