Grant Opportunity: Youth Mental Health
Description: The Foundation supports organizations that expand access to mental and behavioral health services for children and youth. They prioritize organizations that provide counseling and therapy, with an emphasis on trauma-informed care and measurement-based care. The Foundation is interested in early diagnosis of mental health disorders through screenings performed by a child's primary care provider during annual check-ups. They also seek partnerships with organizations that provide therapeutic services to individuals coping with complex mental health conditions.
Eligibility: The Foundation only supports qualified public entities or organizations exempt from tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Private foundations, commercial businesses, and individuals are not eligible for grants.
Grant Types: The Foundation funds general operating expenses, specific programs or projects, and capital requests. They do not fund fundraising events, scholarships, professional conferences, symposiums, performances, competition expenses, or endowments.
Geographic Focus: Grants are primarily awarded to organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and adjoining counties in North Texas. International grants are made by invitation only.
Application Process: All letters of inquiry and grant requests must be submitted online through the Foundation's grantee portal. New organizations may submit a letter of inquiry if they don't have all the requested information available yet. It is recommended to submit applications at least four months before funding is needed.
Reporting Requirements: Organizations funded by the Foundation must provide a full report on previous grant expenditures and outcomes as stated in the grant contract. Grant goals vary by organization and grant.
