Fund for Sandwich Grants

The Fund for Sandwich 2025 Grant Program is administered through The Cape Cod Foundation with the goal of addressing the needs and opportunities facing the Sandwich, Massachusetts community. The Fund exists to improve the quality of life for residents by supporting nonprofit initiatives that respond to community challenges. It requires that applicant organizations be 501(c)(3) public charities or groups applying through a fiscal sponsor with that designation. While organizations may be based outside of Sandwich, they must clearly demonstrate that funded projects directly benefit Sandwich residents. The program considers a broad spectrum of proposals, with particular attention given to initiatives that serve at-risk populations or propose creative solutions to local issues. Areas of focus include human services, youth services, aging services, health, education, the arts, community development, and environmental projects. Funding is intended to support active community programs, not debt relief, capital campaigns, completed projects, endowments, or construction of monuments and memorials. Grants will be awarded within the range of $500 to $2,500. Applications must be submitted through The Cape Cod Foundation’s online grant system. Organizations already registered in the system may use their existing profiles. The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 19, 2025. The Fund’s review process begins in October, when the grant committee, composed of community representatives, evaluates proposals. Recommendations are then sent to The Cape Cod Foundation’s Board of Directors for final approval, and distributions are made afterward. Applicants are not required to meet with Foundation staff as part of the process. Evaluation emphasizes eligibility, completeness, and clarity of application materials. Public acknowledgment of the funding source is expected, with recipients citing The Fund for Sandwich of The Cape Cod Foundation in all related press, marketing, and community-facing communications. Awardees must also provide a final narrative and financial report by September 2026, or earlier if feasible. Extensions may be requested, but reports must be complete before organizations can apply for subsequent grants. Additionally, four open Zoom office hours and two informational webinars are available. These opportunities are optional and have no bearing on review outcomes.
