Denver Broncos Community Grant Program
This program provides funding to nonprofit organizations in Colorado that support youth initiatives focused on health, education, and career readiness for young people aged 5-24.
The Denver Broncos Community Grant, offered through the Denver Broncos Foundation, is a quarterly funding opportunity focused on supporting Colorado-based organizations that serve youth ages 5–24. The Foundation is a philanthropic arm of the Denver Broncos professional football team and is deeply committed to improving the well-being of young people across Colorado. The Community Grant program reflects the organization’s core values by addressing key issues impacting youth, including mental health, food insecurity, equitable access to sports and education, and future career preparedness. The primary focus areas of the grant program include: Youth Health and Wellness, Youth and High School Football, Dynamic In and Out of School Programming, and Access to Career Pathways. In the domain of Youth Health and Wellness, the Foundation aims to support projects that enhance youth mental health by promoting emotional regulation and coping skills, as well as addressing food insecurity. In the area of Youth and High School Football, the program supports initiatives that increase access to equipment, improve player safety, and provide educational tools and certifications for coaches. Another priority of the program is Dynamic In and Out of School Programming. Here, funding is directed toward efforts that improve school attendance, boost youth engagement, and foster a sense of belonging through comprehensive afterschool programming. The final priority area, Access to Career Pathways, focuses on enhancing postsecondary readiness through work-based learning opportunities, industry credentials, and high-quality career and technical education. To be eligible, organizations must operate within Colorado and have 501(c)(3) status or a government equivalent. Applicants must also demonstrate that at least 80% of their expenses go toward programming. Only one application per organization may be submitted per calendar year. Eligible programs must directly serve youth within the defined age range and align with at least one of the funding priority areas. The program does not fund administrative costs, individuals, religious or political organizations, fundraising efforts, trips, or endowments. Applications are submitted online and reviewed quarterly, with four funding cycles each year. Deadlines for 2026 include February 15, May 15, August 15, and November 15, with corresponding notifications approximately one month later. Organizations that have previously received a grant are not guaranteed future funding and must have submitted a prior grant report via CyberGrants to be considered again. While applicants may not contact the Foundation for feedback, all decisions will be communicated by the dates specified per cycle. This recurring funding opportunity provides critical support for youth-centered initiatives in Colorado and is structured to ensure transparency and focus. Despite the competitive nature of the grant, the Denver Broncos Foundation offers a consistent and timely review and notification process. Each successful grantee is required to submit a final report a year after the award notification date, demonstrating the long-term impact and accountability expectations of the program.
