The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida is offering Aging Adults Grants for its 2025 grant cycle. These grants are aimed at nonprofit organizations providing direct support to aging adults or their caregivers, with a focus on improving quality of life for those living on limited incomes. Grants of up to $25,000 are available, and applications are open until March 6, 2025. Grant-funded projects must occur between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2027. This funding opportunity emphasizes addressing the challenges faced by aging adults in maintaining independence, health, and well-being.
Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status and at least a two-year work history. Additionally, organizations must have an annual operating budget of $100,000 or more and be located in and serving Duval County. Limited support may be available for services in Baker, Clay, Nassau, Putnam, and St. Johns counties, though the primary focus is on Duval. The program does not fund athletic associations, fundraising events, schools or school-based organizations, programs promoting religious beliefs, or projects outside the designated counties.
The grant application process began on January 2, 2025, and applicants can access a How to Apply Guide for step-by-step instructions. Support for the application process is available from January 6 to March 1, 2025, through in-person, virtual, or phone consultations. Organizations must submit their applications by 11:59 PM on March 6, 2025. Notifications of grant decisions will be made by June 1, 2025.
Faith-based organizations may apply for non-religious programs that serve the broader community. Applicants are encouraged to thoroughly review the eligibility criteria and funding priorities to ensure their programs align with the grant’s objectives.
