City of Thousand Oaks Community Sport Grant

The Community Sports Grant (CSG) is a funding program administered by the City of Thousand Oaks, California, designed to support nonprofit community and school groups in enhancing local sports programming. Eligible uses of funds include upgrading sports facilities or purchasing equipment that enhances sports programs. Personal equipment for individuals, such as uniforms, and grant administration costs are not eligible. The program emphasizes equitable access and community benefit and is restricted to activities that occur within city boundaries. Grants awarded through the 2025–26 cycle will range between $2,000 and $10,000 and require a 100% matching fund commitment from the applicant. Projects involving physical changes to property not owned by the applicant require a property owner authorization form. The Community Funding Review Committee (CFRC) evaluates all eligible submissions and presents funding recommendations to the Thousand Oaks City Council, which makes final decisions. Notifications to applicants are anticipated in mid-December 2025. Applicants should ensure they can meet all insurance requirements or request a waiver as needed.
