Grant Description

The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County (CFWC) is accepting applications for the 2024 Revitalizing Westmoreland program, focusing on community development in specific areas of Westmoreland County. The program aims to enhance local communities, especially where many households live at or below 200% of the poverty level. This year's grantmaking is focused solely on community revitalization projects, with no RFP for the Healthy Communities program. In previous years, CFWC supported initiatives through separate funding streams for Revitalizing Westmoreland (Place) and Healthy Communities (People), as well as combined projects addressing both areas. The maximum grant requests were $20,000 for individual program areas and $35,000 for projects that addressed both People and Place goals. For 2024, the application process opens on October 11, with a virtual information session on October 21 at 3:00 p.m. The deadline for submissions is November 14, 2024, by 11:59 p.m., and grantees will be announced by December 16, 2024. Applications are submitted online, and technical assistance is available from Emily Rousseau, Grants Manager. For guidance on the application itself, applicants can contact McCrae Martino, Executive Director.
