Street Tree Grant Program

The Street Tree Grant Program administered by the Town of Holly Springs is designed to support and enhance the urban forestry infrastructure within the town’s neighborhoods. Once contacted by staff, applicants proceed to submit the official Grant Application Form. This form must be accompanied by a quote, bid, or estimate from a licensed landscape company, clearly outlining that the cost includes tree removal and replacement. It is crucial that this documentation be presented on the landscape company’s letterhead to be valid for grant consideration. Applications will not be considered if any component is incomplete or omitted. Following application submission, the next required step is to schedule an inspection by contacting the Development Services Intake Team via email at DSintake@hollyspringsnc.gov. Upon successful inspection and final approval, applicants may be reimbursed up to $650 per tree. The funding is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and HOAs are limited to requesting a maximum of 10 trees per bulk application. This cap ensures broader community participation while managing available funds equitably. The application enrollment period for the 2025 cycle runs from August 25 to October 4, 2025. Applicants are encouraged to apply early due to the limited and competitive nature of the funding.
