gBETA Alaska Accelerator Program
This program provides mentorship and resources to early-stage Alaskan startups, helping them refine their business models and prepare for investment without taking any equity.
gBETA Alaska is a no-cost, seven-week accelerator program managed by gener8tor, a nationally ranked startup accelerator. The program is designed for early-stage companies with strong ties to Alaska and aims to help these startups refine their business models, strengthen their investor readiness, and position themselves for future funding opportunities or participation in equity-based accelerator programs. gener8tor, the administering organization, is well-regarded in the startup ecosystem for its intensive, mentor-driven approach to venture development and long-term alumni support. Through gBETA, it extends this model to pre-seed companies that are not yet investment-ready but show strong potential for rapid growth. The program offers individualized coaching and mentorship tailored to each participating company’s growth trajectory. Selected startups engage in two weekly one-on-one strategy meetings with their Program Manager, attend weekly educational "Lunch & Learns," and take part in "Mentor Swarms" — fast-paced sessions that provide access to approximately 30 new mentors across the program’s duration. During the seventh and final week, participants are given the opportunity to present to over 25 curated investors through "Investor Swarms," followed by a showcase event that includes pitches and networking opportunities with stakeholders from across the startup ecosystem. Eligibility for gBETA Alaska is restricted to startups based in Alaska. Companies must be prepared to commit 5–7 hours per week to the structured elements of the program, not including independent work time. gBETA seeks coachable and responsive founders who can operate in a fast-paced environment, are willing to share aspects of their business openly with mentors and investors, and are either already selling or ready to scale their sales efforts. Although the program does not offer direct investment or require equity, it does expect participants to be interested in pursuing venture capital or accelerator funding in the future. While the core program runs for seven weeks, the support provided by gener8tor extends well beyond that timeframe. Alumni receive ongoing assistance in the form of curated pitch opportunities, invitations to gener8tor conferences, and networking access to corporate partners, investors, and fellow entrepreneurs. Participants also receive lifetime membership to the Morrow platform powered by the Global Accelerator Network (GAN), as well as access to over $1 million in deals and perks from corporate partners such as Google, Microsoft, Rackspace, IBM Cloud, and PayPal. These offerings are designed to provide both strategic value and cost-saving benefits to participating startups. The application process is straightforward. Interested startups must submit an online application specific to the Alaska cohort. While applicants can apply to multiple gener8tor programs, they must meet the location-based eligibility for each. After the February 1, 2026 application deadline, selected companies are contacted for interviews, which typically include one or two rounds and a prepared pitch. Founders are also encouraged to schedule office hours with the Program Manager to discuss their fit for the program prior to applying. Upon acceptance, participants must sign a participation agreement during onboarding. The gBETA Alaska Spring 2026 program begins on February 19, 2026, and concludes on April 10, 2026. It includes an initial 1.5-day kick-off focused on team-building and program orientation. The remainder of the timeline is structured around weekly meetings, educational sessions, and mentorship. The program culminates in investor interactions and a public showcase. Given its recurring nature, applicants not selected for the current cohort are encouraged to reapply in future rounds. Linda Janes, the Managing Director of gBETA Alaska, serves as the main point of contact for prospective participants and can be reached via email at [email protected].
