The Taylor County Charitable Interest Fund Grant Program, administered by Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia, Inc. (YCF), provides small grants to support charitable projects that benefit residents of Taylor County, West Virginia. The program is designed for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and public institutions such as schools and libraries that operate in Taylor County.
The program funds a wide range of charitable purposes with a local focus, although YCF generally does not support operating expenses, endowments, political activity, travel, work training, or fundraising campaigns. The average grant size ranges from $500 to $1,000, making it suitable for modest, impactful local initiatives.
Applications for the 2025–2026 cycle are accepted between August 4 and September 22, 2025. To be considered, all applicants must submit an online application and attach several required documents. These include an annual operating budget, a list of the organization’s board members and their contact details, and an annual financial report or IRS Form 990 (with an audit preferred if available). For public institutions, some of these requirements may be waived.
The application form requests information on the organization’s mission, leadership, service area, project focus, intended outcomes, budget, and potential collaborations. Applicants must also describe how they will measure the impact of the project and whether it will have future funding needs. If awarded, grant recipients must complete their projects and submit a final report by August 31, 2026.
Awards will be determined by the Taylor County Charitable Interest Fund Grants Committee, with funding notifications issued by mid-November 2025. Grant recipients must acknowledge YCF as the funder in all project-related communications and authorize YCF to use submitted photos and descriptions for promotional purposes.
