Water Quality

The Ellensburg Community Grant Program focuses on enhancing and protecting the quality of surface waters within Ellensburg through community-based projects. Funded by the Stormwater Utility, the grant supports outreach, education, assessments, planning, implementation, prevention, and control projects that aim to improve surface water quality. Eligible applicants include volunteer groups such as youth, seniors, non-profits, and educational organizations, while business and governmental entities can partner but not apply. Projects must be within the city limits and demonstrate improvements in water quality, educating residents on best practices. Applications are due by August 30, 2024, and projects must be completed within the 2025 fiscal year. The total funding available is $10,000, disbursed on a reimbursement basis.
