The Rural Small Business Digital Growth and Innovation Grant Program, administered by Locus Community Solutions, provides financial support to help small businesses in Tazewell and Buchanan Counties, Virginia, grow their digital capabilities. With a total fund of $90,000, the program aims to improve business digital presence, expand online sales, enhance cybersecurity, and integrate business management tools.
Eligible small businesses can receive up to $5,000 or more in digital support, including website development, e-commerce setup, digital marketing, content creation, cybersecurity enhancements, and business operations software. Grants are awarded on a rolling basis beginning April 8, 2025, and will continue through December 2025 or until funds are depleted.
To qualify, applicants must be registered with the Virginia State Corporation Commission and located within Tazewell or Buchanan County. They must also agree to collaborate with a designated technical service provider to implement their digital upgrades and participate in regular check-ins to assess progress.
Applicants are required to submit interim and final reports documenting the impact of the grant, including revenue and customer growth metrics. The application process is streamlined and must demonstrate clear digital growth goals.
