The Community Foundation of Otsego County (CFOC) and the Mildred Parish Foundation Fund are presenting the Spring 2025 Awards Cycle with a focus on supporting arts organizations in Otsego County. Recognizing the vital role arts play in community well-being, creativity, cultural understanding, and social connection, CFOC has allocated $100,000 to this cycle specifically for the arts sector.
Eligible projects for this funding cycle include general operating support (such as consultants, staffing costs, or one-time needs), capacity growth initiatives (like hiring grantwriters or purchasing general equipment), feasibility studies, and programming activities including special events, exhibitions, summer arts programming for children, public art displays, arts education, and workshops.
Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations operating within Otsego County or groups fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with required documentation of the sponsorship. Funds will not be awarded directly to individuals, businesses, or for capital projects. The maximum award amount for an individual organization is $10,000, while collaborative applications involving multiple organizations may be awarded up to $15,000.
Applications must be submitted online by May 16, 2025. Awards are expected to be announced by the end of June 2025. Successful applicants must submit a final report that includes outcome metrics, evaluations against expectations, lessons learned, and future adaptations. Final reports must be completed before new applications from previous recipients are considered. For questions, applicants are encouraged to contact CFOC via contact@cfotsego.org or by calling 607-286-3750.
