Kenmare Area Community Foundation Grant

The Kenmare Area Community Foundation Annual Grant is offered through the North Dakota Community Foundation (NDCF), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. The Kenmare Area Community Foundation was established in 2009 by contributions from the Kenmare Development Corporation and the Kenmare Veteran’s Club. It is managed locally by volunteers who help grow the fund and recommend annual grants. This grant opportunity supports projects and nonprofit initiatives that benefit the community of Kenmare and its surrounding areas. Funding is intended to strengthen local services, facilities, and programs that enhance the quality of life in the area. Projects proposed by religious organizations must be non-denominational and serve the wider community. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and government agencies operating within the geographic scope of Kenmare and surrounding communities. The fund prioritizes projects that reach a larger number of residents and those that demonstrate additional funding support from other sources. Requests for ongoing operational expenses or multi-year funding are considered low priority. Applications must be submitted through the North Dakota Community Foundation’s Grant Portal. Applicants will need to create an account and provide their organization’s EIN, name, and executive officer information. Once logged in, applicants can select the Kenmare grant program, fill out the application, and save progress to return later if needed. The application window closes annually on June 15. The grant is recurring and expected to reopen in June 2026. Applicants are encouraged to begin preparing by early May each year.
