Humanities Project Grant

The Humanities Project Grant, administered by the State Historical Society of Iowa and funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, supports public humanities projects in Iowa that encourage contemplation, spark conversation, and engage the community. Grants range from $2,500 to $30,000 for projects that use the humanities to benefit diverse groups of Iowans through educational programming exploring the human experience. Eligible applicants include individuals, nonprofits, local governments, and higher education institutions. The application deadline is August 15, 2024, for the funding period of November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025.
