The Arcora Foundation’s 2025 Capital Clinic Access (CCA) Grant supports Federally Qualified Health Centers, Tribal, and nonprofit dental clinics in Washington State. This initiative aims to expand and sustain access to culturally appropriate oral health care for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and other underserved populations who experience significant oral health disparities. Grants of up to $250,000 are available for capital projects, including the expansion or renovation of dental clinics and the purchase or upgrading of dental equipment, software, or technology.
The program prioritizes projects that integrate medical and dental care to provide whole-person health services. It also emphasizes the use of technology to improve culturally appropriate care and increase access, the implementation of evidence-based models of care, and the efficient utilization of dental teams. Sustainability and long-term impact on oral health access are key considerations for funding, ensuring resources continue benefiting underserved communities even after the grant period ends.
To qualify, applicants must be tax-exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code and must serve populations within Washington State. Ineligible projects include those seeking reimbursement for dental care, loan repayment, or previously completed projects. Applications lacking a detailed plan with a completed budget and metrics worksheet will also be disqualified. Projects relying heavily on volunteer staff must demonstrate operational sustainability and comprehensive patient care to be considered.
The application process begins with a mandatory Letter of Intent (LOI) due by January 24, 2025, at 5:00 PM PST. The LOI should outline the organization’s details, the population served, project goals, planned capital purchases, a timeline, and a sustainability strategy. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application by February 3, 2025, with the final application deadline on March 7, 2025. Required supporting documents include a budget and metrics worksheet, a tax determination letter, the organization’s reserve policy, and a roster of its board of directors.
Applications will be evaluated based on their impact and sustainability, alignment of leadership demographics with the population served, the focus on addressing oral health disparities, project feasibility, and incorporation of innovative or evidence-based strategies. The review process will occur between March 11 and June 13, 2025, with successful applicants notified on June 13, 2025. Awardees will be required to sign a grant agreement and provide regular updates on project progress and outcomes.
