Grant Description

The Administrative Office of the Courts, Juvenile and Family Services, administers the FY2025 Foster Care Court Improvement Program Child Welfare Grant. This grant, funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, supports state and local governments, non-profit organizations, institutions of higher education, and local courts in Maryland to enhance safety, permanency, and well-being outcomes for children in the child welfare system. Applications are due by 5:00 PM on August 23, 2024, with funding starting on October 1, 2024. No matching funds are required. Funding notices will be sent in September 2024.

The availability of funds is contingent upon the provision of funds in the Maryland Judiciary budget by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. Applicants who are awarded funding will receive notice in September 2024.

Additional Requirements

Grant-funded program staff must collaborate with Judiciary staff managing FCCIP Child Welfare Grants. All grantees must adhere to state and federal regulations, grant terms and conditions, and reporting and auditing requirements. Applicants need to be a legal entity registered in SAM.gov and maintain a valid Unique Entity Identifier and current registration throughout the grant period. Two support letters are required for non-court applicants, with at least one from a court partner.
