2025-2026 Apache Corporation Tree Grant Program
This program provides trees to nonprofit organizations and government agencies in the U.S. to support large-scale environmental conservation and restoration projects.
The Apache Corporation Tree Grant Program, sponsored by APA Corporation, represents a longstanding commitment to environmental stewardship and conservation. Established in 2005, the program is designed to support large-scale conservation initiatives, wildlife habitat protection, and the restoration and improvement of public greenspaces. The program is part of APA Corporation’s broader sustainability and corporate social responsibility efforts aimed at creating a lasting positive environmental legacy in the communities where they operate. Since its inception, the program has distributed more than 5 million trees to over 1,000 nonprofit organizations and government agencies across the United States. Eligible recipients have included a diverse mix of cities, counties, schools, parks, universities, youth groups, wildlife refuges, and service organizations. The trees are used for a variety of conservation efforts such as enhancing public parks, reforesting natural landscapes, supporting urban forestry, and preserving ecosystems that serve as habitats for native species. In 2023, the program expanded internationally to include a United Kingdom-based component in Scotland, working with nonprofit organizations and government agencies such as the River Dee Trust. In the 2023/2024 planting season alone, more than 206,000 trees were donated to 61 nonprofit partners. These partners included Houston Botanic Garden, Houston Wilderness, The City of Houston and Harris County, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Big Bend Conservation Alliance, and Keep Midland Beautiful. For the 2025–2026 U.S. Tree Grant Program season, applications are currently open. Although detailed eligibility requirements and the full application process are not provided on the page, it is clear that the program favors community-based, nonprofit, and governmental partners who can facilitate meaningful environmental restoration or conservation efforts through tree planting. The grant typically involves in-kind support in the form of tree donations rather than direct financial awards. Questions about the program should be directed to the program’s contact email, Community@apachecorp.com. The physical address for APA Corporation is 2000 W. Sam Houston Pkwy S, Ste. 200, Houston, TX 77042. The U.K. branch of the program has completed its application cycle for the 2024–2025 season and is not currently accepting new applications.
