The TeamUp Grant is administered by the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona in collaboration with the Connie Hillman Family Foundation. Launched in 2021, the program aims to support nonprofit organizations in Southern Arizona by providing access to expert consulting and coaching services. The Connie Hillman Family Foundation has a longstanding commitment to strengthening local nonprofits and addressing their organizational challenges.
The TeamUp program offers nonprofits up to 20 hours of fully underwritten consulting or coaching. The services are tailored to organizations undergoing significant transitions such as new leadership, strategic planning, board development, or succession planning. Startups with a valid IRS determination letter and organizations experiencing growth or decline are also eligible for this assistance.
Applications for the current cycle opened on June 2, 2025, and close on June 30, 2025, at 5:00 PM Arizona Time. Selected nonprofits will be notified of their award status in July 2025. All projects must be completed by December 30, 2025. The grant is not offered on a rolling basis but is recurring, with the next cycle scheduled to open in January 2026.
To be eligible, nonprofits must have 501(c)(3) status, be located in counties south of the Gila River (Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz, and Yuma), and operate with an annual budget of $600,000 or less. Organizations that have already received TeamUp support in the current cycle are not eligible unless their new proposal clearly builds upon previous work.
There is no cost to participate, and the services provided are fully covered by the foundation. No matching funds are required from the applicant. A maximum of nine projects will be supported per cycle. While no list of required application questions or estimated time to complete the application is provided, the process is expected to be competitive due to the limited number of slots.
