The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Chesapeake & Coastal Service (CCS) offers technical and financial assistance to support projects addressing water quality improvement, local waterway restoration, climate resilience, navigation, boating access, and environmental stewardship. The Grants Gateway simplifies the application process for eligible applicants, including governments, academic institutions, and NGOs. Applications are due by September 18, 2024, for Outcome 5 projects, and December 13, 2024, for Outcomes 1-4 and Shoreline Erosion Loan Applications.

Additional Requirements

Local jurisdictions, non-governmental organizations, institutions of higher education, for-profit entities (see pay for success track below) Where can my project(s) be located? Funding is only available for projects located in the Maryland portions of both the Chesapeake Bay Watershed and the Atlantic Coastal Bays. Tree planting projects are eligible for all of Maryland. Public and private lands are eligible.
