2025 Community Development Block Grant for Public Services in Illinois

The City of DeKalb is accepting applications for its 2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Services Funding to support non-profit organizations delivering new or expanded public services that foster independence and self-sufficiency for homeless individuals, low-income residents, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Eligible projects must align with at least one Consolidated Plan Objective and one HUD National Objective, as outlined in the application materials. Proposals are due by 5:00 PM on December 13, 2024 and can be submitted in person or by mail to the Community Development Department. Due to limited funding, the City prioritizes projects with substantial, documented impacts. Applications should detail the number of individuals served as well as the expected outcomes.
