Grant Description

The 2025 Program Support Application, administered by the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC) and funded by the New York State Council on the Arts, provides grants for community arts initiatives. The application deadline is December 6, 2024, and late or emailed submissions will not be accepted. Applications must be mailed or hand-delivered to LARAC's office in Glens Falls, NY. Applicants must include specific documentation, such as an original signed application, organizational financial statements, proof of nonprofit status with an EIN, a list of board members, recent meeting minutes, and artistic resumes. Municipalities must provide additional financial documentation. Multiple copies of key materials are required to complete the submission, including five copies of the application, artistic resumes, and support materials. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, municipalities, and organizations working with a pre-approved fiscal sponsor. Fiscal sponsorship requires a fully executed sponsorship agreement, and organizations using unlisted fiscal sponsors must seek pre-approval from LARAC. Grants range from $500 to $5,000, and applications are evaluated on how well they align with the program’s focus on supporting diverse arts disciplines, including visual arts, music, theater, folk arts, and more. Applicants must detail project plans, including expenses, artistic personnel, target audience, and accessibility efforts for individuals with disabilities. Marketing strategies, anticipated community engagement, and funding allocation must be clearly explained. Additionally, the application requires a concise project summary and description, emphasizing the project's purpose, execution plan, and timeline. Grant funds may be used for artistic fees, marketing, materials, and administrative expenses. Applicants must also provide a plan for covering costs not funded by the grant. A certification form signed by an officer of the organization is required to finalize the application. Questions about the process can be directed to LARAC's Grants Coordinator via email.
