CFHSV Education Fund 2025
This grant provides funding to nonprofit organizations, schools, and government agencies in the Greater Huntsville area to improve educational outcomes in key areas such as early childhood development, reading and math proficiency, and college and career readiness.
The Education Fund 2025, managed by the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, is a targeted grant initiative designed to enhance educational outcomes across key developmental and academic benchmarks in the Greater Huntsville area. This includes the counties of Jackson, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan in Alabama. The Fund is dedicated to investing in the future of the community through support for early childhood development, student achievement, college and career readiness, and systemic educational success. This grant opportunity offers awards ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 and supports projects within specific educational focus areas: kindergarten readiness, third-grade reading proficiency, eighth-grade math proficiency, career readiness, college readiness, and college graduation. Each applicant may submit up to two proposals, provided each targets a different focus area, thereby promoting a diversified impact. Funding priorities include projects that demonstrate high impact by supporting a broad number of students, clearly address a defined focus area, and provide measurable outcomes. Eligible expenses include program costs for both new and existing educational initiatives, as well as training and support for volunteers involved in implementation. However, grants cannot be used for individual support, debt reduction, capital or endowment campaigns, political activities, or general fundraising events. Applicants must be qualified under IRS code as 501(c)(3) public charities, or be schools, religious institutions, or government agencies serving public purposes in the designated counties. All recipients must enter into a Grant Agreement detailing the terms of funding use and mandatory outcome reporting. Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on Monday, June 16, 2025, via the designated online submission portal.
