Fund for Anne Arundel Grant

The Fund for Anne Arundel, administered by the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC), is a competitive grant program designed to address the county’s most urgent needs, particularly those affecting children and families. Informed by CFAAC’s 2022 Community Needs Assessment, the fund focuses on building a thriving future by supporting nonprofit organizations that provide essential services in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The 2025 grant cycle will open on March 17, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. and close on April 22, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Each application must target one of four specified priority areas: physical, mental, and behavioral health of children; mental wellness initiatives; homelessness prevention; or school and after-school programming. Grants will range from $25,000 to $50,000. Applicants may request either a one-year grant or a renewable two-year grant of up to $25,000 per year. Renewal is contingent on submission of a first-year performance report and justification of the extended timeline’s benefit to sustainability and success. Strong applications will demonstrate strategic, data-driven, and innovative approaches aligned with documented community needs and the organization’s mission. Proposals should outline clear goals, collaborative efforts, and a sustainability plan. Projects must serve only Anne Arundel County residents, and only one application per organization is permitted. To be eligible, applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations operating in Anne Arundel County with at least two years of IRS tax-exempt status by January 1, 2025. They must be in good standing with the Maryland Department of Assessment and Taxation and the Secretary of State's Charitable Organization Registration. Prior CFAAC grant recipients are eligible if all previous reports are completed and unspent funds are clearly accounted for. Finalists will be selected by a diverse community review committee after the April deadline. Selected organizations will participate in interviews in June 2025, and awards will be made shortly thereafter. The grant funding period runs from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026.
