King Foundation’s Community Grant 2025
This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations in specific counties of Arkansas, North Texas, and West Texas, focusing on initiatives that benefit aging populations, arts and culture, children and youth, economically disadvantaged communities, education, and nonprofit capacity building.
The King Foundation offers Community Grants to support nonprofit organizations in specific counties across Arkansas, North Texas, and West Texas. These grants are awarded biannually and prioritize initiatives in aging, arts and culture, children and youth, economically disadvantaged populations, education, and nonprofit capacity. Applicants must be based in and serve residents from the eligible counties outlined in each regional program. The Foundation emphasizes direct service, avoiding support for general operations or pass-through funding arrangements. For the Spring 2025 cycle, applicants may begin by contacting their regional program officer as early as September 16, 2024, to schedule a pre-LOI call. The online application portal opens on November 1, 2024, and Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) are due by December 16, 2024. Applicants will be notified by February 3, 2025, if invited to submit a full proposal, which will be due by February 28, 2025. Site visits will take place in March and April, with awards announced on June 6, 2025. Grant implementation follows from June 2025 through May 2026, and the report period runs from June through December 2026. Reapplication is permitted after the final report deadline. For the Fall 2025 cycle, applicants may attend a live proposal process webinar on April 1, 2025, and the online portal opens on May 1, 2025. LOIs must be submitted by June 16, 2025. Applicants will be notified of advancement by August 8, and invited full proposals are due by August 29. Site visits occur in September and October, with awards announced December 12, 2025. Grant implementation spans January through December 2026, and the report period extends into mid-2027. Grants range from $15,000 to $75,000, with an average award of $30,000. Program support is the primary grant type offered in all regions, while nonprofit capacity building is available in Arkansas and West Texas only. Capital support is very rare and only available in North Texas. The Foundation does not fund individuals, organizations outside its geographic scope, for-profit or private schools, religious programs with required participation, or general operating expenses. Applicants must use the Foundation’s online portal and are encouraged to watch a webinar and engage in a pre-LOI call with the regional officer before submitting. Site visits are a regular part of the review process for those advancing to full proposals. The Foundation requires an 18-month waiting period before previous grantees may reapply. Inquiries can be directed to Info@KingFoundation.com or by calling the main office at 214-750-1884. The Foundation's office is located at 6688 N. Central Expressway, Suite 275, Dallas, TX 75206.
