JustPax Fund 2025
This funding opportunity supports innovative projects that promote gender, environmental, and economic justice, encouraging diverse individuals and organizations to address systemic injustices and create sustainable change.
The JustPax Fund is a private grantmaking organization rooted in the Believer’s Church tradition. It provides financial and logistical support to individuals and organizations working in the fields of gender justice, environmental justice, and economic justice. While inspired by a specific faith tradition, the Fund welcomes applications from individuals and organizations across all backgrounds and belief systems. Its mission centers around supporting transformative, innovative, and interdisciplinary projects that address systemic injustices and promote sustainable, just systems. The Fund encourages applicants to propose novel and action-oriented strategies that are interdisciplinary and inclusive. It prioritizes projects that stimulate community interest, engage broader resources for ongoing impact, and align strongly with its justice focus areas. Proposals that reflect personal dedication, responsible stewardship of funds, and clear long-term impact are favored. Applicants are expected to demonstrate how their initiatives go beyond addressing immediate effects of injustice and aim to transform oppressive systems through new paradigms. For the 2025 application round, JustPax anticipates awarding a total of up to $600,000 across all selected projects. Individual grants are typically up to $25,000 per year, although higher amounts may be considered for exceptional proposals. While single-year funding is standard, applicants with well-developed, strategic, and scalable initiatives may apply for up to three years of funding within one application. All budgets must be submitted using a downloadable template and should be clearly aligned with the proposal’s work plan and objectives. To be eligible, applicants must be associated with a U.S.-qualified tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. International applicants may apply if affiliated with such an organization. Projects primarily for operational expenses, partisan politics, tuition assistance, or reliant heavily on air travel are discouraged. Submissions must include a narrative proposal, budget document, letters of support, and acknowledgment of reporting obligations. Returning applicants must submit mid-year and/or final reports for previous funding to be eligible for additional support. Applications must be submitted by August 1, 2025, at 5:00 PM ET. Award decisions will be communicated by November 15, 2025, and funds disbursed by December 31, 2025. All funded applicants are required to submit a final report one year after the grant is completed. The application requires details on the proposed project, organizational background, requested funding amount, justification for single or multi-year requests, budget documentation, and at least two letters of support. It also includes several narrative fields that describe the need, strategy, objectives, and anticipated impact of the project.
