Grant Description

The gBETA Life Science Accelerator is a free, seven-week program designed for early-stage startups focused on life science innovations. Hosted in Indianapolis with both in-person and virtual components, the program is open to companies nationwide. Each cohort consists of up to five startups selected from a competitive applicant pool. Participants receive individualized coaching from the nationally ranked gener8tor accelerator team, preparing them for growth and investor readiness. The program offers structured mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to over $1 million in vendor perks from companies like IBM Cloud, Amazon, and PayPal. The accelerator provides hands-on support through weekly “Lunch & Learns,” where industry experts discuss key topics such as market competition, revenue models, financing, and pitching strategies. Additionally, participants engage in weekly "Mentor Swarms," which provide exposure to approximately 30 mentors over six weeks. The final week of the program features investor-focused events, including curated one-on-one pitch meetings with over 25 investors and a showcase event where participants present their startups to an audience of mentors, investors, and industry leaders. gBETA Life Science is designed for startups that are actively working on their business and looking to scale their sales and fundraising efforts. Participants must be open to feedback, coachable, and willing to engage in a fast-paced accelerator environment. A commitment of at least 85% participation is required, translating to approximately 5-7 hours per week of structured programming. The program does not take equity from participants, and there are no fees involved. While no direct investment is made during the program, participants gain access to investor networks and ongoing post-program support from gener8tor. The Spring 2025 cohort application deadline is March 28, 2025. The program runs from April 10 to May 29, 2025, starting with a 1.5-day kickoff event that includes team-building activities, industry insights, and one-on-one meetings with gBETA program managers. Over the following six weeks, startups participate in weekly strategy meetings, expert-led sessions, and mentor networking events. The program concludes with investor pitch meetings and a showcase celebration. Upon completion, gBETA Life Science alumni continue to receive support through gener8tor’s network, industry conferences, and curated investment pitch events. The program aims to position startups for entry into investment accelerators or successful fundraising rounds. Entrepreneurs interested in applying can reach out to the program manager, Camilo Lozano, at camilo@gener8tor.com for further inquiries.
