Grant Description

The Rose Community Foundation is offering the 2025 Policy & Advocacy Ecosystem Grant to nonprofit organizations operating within the Greater Denver region. This grant aims to support nonprofits that use policy and advocacy to address disparities and improve access and opportunity for communities furthest from opportunity. The focus is on organizations working toward systems change or influencing policy levers across various issue areas aligned with the Foundationโ€™s priorities. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) nonprofits, as well as fiscally sponsored projects serving Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, and Jefferson counties in Colorado. Statewide policy efforts benefiting these areas are also eligible. Government agencies at local, state, or federal levels cannot apply. Organizations currently funded through donor-advised funds or giving circles at Rose Community Foundation may apply if they meet other eligibility criteria. Grant amounts typically range from $15,000 to $75,000 for a one-year period from November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2026. The total funding available is between $1.8 million and $2 million. Applicants should note that organizations with active multi-year grants beyond November 2025 or those who have received separate grants in 2025 are unlikely to be funded through this opportunity. The Foundation allows support for lobbying activities related to grant funds but requires clear reporting of such activities. However, any efforts supporting or opposing specific candidates or political parties will not be considered under this grant program. Applicants invited to submit full proposals after an initial letter of inquiry must disclose any anticipated lobbying activities associated with their request. This grant provides an opportunity for nonprofits engaged in policy advocacy to secure funding that can help advance systemic changes benefiting underserved communities within the Greater Denver area. For more information about eligibility requirements and application details, visit the Rose Community Foundation website at rcfdenver.org/nonprofit-opportunities/funding-opportunities/. The deadline for applications is June 25, 2025.
