Grant Description

The U.S. Mission Türkiye, through the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs under the Department of State, is offering a grant opportunity titled the U.S. Mission Türkiye Public Diplomacy Grants Program. This discretionary grant initiative is designed to reinforce the relationship between the United States and Türkiye by funding projects that support shared diplomatic, economic, cultural, and strategic interests. As a part of its public diplomacy strategy, the U.S. Mission is seeking proposals that promote increased understanding of U.S. policies, values, and innovation. The program specifically encourages initiatives that include U.S. cultural elements or engage with American experts, organizations, or institutions. Proposals should aim to strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance public diplomacy in Türkiye. Eligible projects should align with one or more of the following priority program areas: Shared Security, Economic Prosperity and Innovation, Celebrating American Excellence, and Combatting Adversarial Influence. Innovative projects that promote U.S. technology, entrepreneurship, and intercultural networks are particularly encouraged. Examples of suitable activities include policy dialogue workshops, digital awareness campaigns, educational programs, technology fairs, and regional security forums. These initiatives should help deter transnational threats, support legal immigration, highlight U.S. economic strengths, and combat disinformation from hostile foreign entities. Emphasis is placed on building resilient strategic alliances and promoting accurate narratives about U.S. intentions and values in the region. Applicants may include private and public institutions of higher education, nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status, and individuals. However, applicants with active grants from U.S. Mission Türkiye are ineligible until their current projects conclude. All organizational applicants must possess a Unique Entity Identifier and be registered on SAM.gov, while individuals do not require this registration. The application period is forecasted to open soon, with a hard deadline of June 20, 2025, at 17:00 Türkiye time. The expected project start date is October 1, 2025. Applications should be submitted via email to GrantsTurkey@state.gov, and all inquiries must be sent to the same address as the agency does not provide phone support. Although the total funding amount and award ranges have not yet been published, this forecasted grant opportunity provides a strategic pathway for U.S.-Türkiye collaborative efforts to flourish, particularly in areas where mutual interests and global challenges intersect.
