Urban and Community Forestry Planning Grant Program

The Urban and Community Forestry Planning Program supports a variety of urban forestry planning projects with grants up to $65,000. Funding is provided by the U.S. Forest Service. The program aims to enhance urban forests, which are critical for air and water filtration, biodiversity maintenance, and social cohesion. Eligible applicants include Connecticut governmental entities and non-profit organizations. Applications for this grant program are due January 31, 2025. The program is designed to help municipalities preserve existing trees and increase tree canopy in environmental justice communities.
