City of Anniston Fund Grants

The City of Anniston Fund Grants are administered in partnership with the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama (CFNEA) to provide charitable assistance to eligible homeowners within the corporate city limits of Anniston, Alabama. These grants are intended to support critical needs for residents who are either elderly, disabled, or low-income, with the ultimate goal of promoting long-term stability, dignity, and quality of life for vulnerable populations. Through this fund, CFNEA facilitates impactful grantmaking by evaluating individual needs and distributing funding accordingly. Applicants must meet several criteria to be eligible for the program. First, applicants must own and reside in a home located within the official corporate boundaries of Anniston, Alabama. Second, the applicant must be over the age of 60, or have a documented mental or physical disability, or qualify as low income. Third, the grant must be used for the applicant’s primary residence. These criteria are strictly enforced, and failure to meet all requirements will result in disqualification. Grants are awarded for specific needs tied to housing and residential wellbeing. While the fund does not define all eligible expenditures, awards are made either to third-party nonprofit organizations or service providers delivering the approved goods or services, or as reimbursements to grantees for approved costs. The grant maximum is $2,500 per household, and funds are limited. Incomplete applications or requests that do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered. Applications must be submitted online via the CFNEA portal no later than 11:59 p.m. on November 3, 2025. The application process is competitive and involves a Grant Review Committee that evaluates submissions based on need, clarity, and alignment with the program’s goals. Recommendations are made to the CFNEA Board of Trustees, which has final authority over all funding decisions. There is no appeal process. Grantees will be notified via email regarding their application outcome. Selected recipients are required to submit a one-time final report detailing the use and impact of the grant. This report is mandatory for any future consideration by CFNEA.
