Targeted Emergency Medical Services Evaluation Solicitation for Proposals for Program Year 2023-24.
This grant provides funding for evaluators to assess and improve the EMS Corp program's implementation and effectiveness, drawing comparisons to the successful Alameda EMS model, with the goal of enhancing emergency medical services in the community.
In collaboration with EDD, LWDA, EMS Corp Intermediary the CERF leadership team and the EMS Corp projects, the Evaluator will lead the design and implementation of the evaluation plan for the planning and implementation phases of the EMS Corp program. The implementation phase includes at least two rounds of implementation. The Evaluator should ensure the evaluation follows best practices for rigorous, transparent and reproducible analysis. EMS Corps pilot site performance will be compared to the successful Alameda EMS model. The Evaluator is expected to serve as a learning partner and provide data-driven recommendations to inform the decisions of the state leadership, intermediary and the EMS Corp projects. The outputs of the evaluation, including progress reports and evaluation analysis reports, will inform adaptations, shifts, and recommendations to the work as new lessons emerge with the goal to support real-time feedback and learning.
