Grant Description

The Missouri Department of Conservation is offering travel grants to support nonprofit organizations in attending the 2025 Missouri Conservation Partners Roundtable. This event is scheduled to take place on October 1-2 in Jefferson City, MO. The purpose of the travel grant is to assist nonprofit partners who face financial challenges that might otherwise prevent them from participating. The grant specifically covers transportation, lodging, and meal expenses, excluding alcohol, incurred while attending the roundtable. The travel grant application process opens on June 2, 2025, and the deadline for submissions is August 18, 2025. Successful applicants will be notified by August 28, 2025. Each grant is valued at $500 and will be awarded to the nonprofit organization, not individuals. Only one grant will be awarded per organization, but the funds can be used for travel expenses for more than one attendee from the same organization. However, the maximum grant amount per organization remains $500. To be eligible for the grant, applicants must be affiliated with a not-for-profit organization or group and must be registered to attend the 2025 Missouri Conservation Partners Roundtable. Additionally, the organization must register as a vendor in the Missouri Buys eProcurement System to receive the funds. This registration is a multi-step process, and technical assistance is available via email at WebProcure-Support@proactis.com or by phone at (866) 889-8533. The selection criteria for the travel grant include financial need, affiliation with a nonprofit organization, and the benefit of attending the event. Priority is given to individuals who have never participated in the Missouri Conservation Partners Roundtable, whether in person or virtually. A complete application is also a requirement for consideration. Upon selection, recipients must submit a signed Grant Agreement to receive 100% of the grant award. They are required to provide detailed receipts showing proof of payment for travel expenses within 30 business days after the event. Any unspent funds or the full grant amount, if receipts are not provided, must be returned to the Missouri Department of Conservation within the same timeframe. The availability of these funds is contingent upon the approval of the Missouri Department of Conservation's budget, which is reviewed annually. Applicants will be informed if the funding is not approved. In summary, the travel grant aims to facilitate the participation of nonprofit organizations in the Missouri Conservation Partners Roundtable by alleviating financial barriers. Interested organizations should ensure they meet all eligibility criteria and submit their applications by the specified deadline to be considered for this opportunity.
