Grant Description

The FY25 County Arts Grant Program, managed by the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council (PGAHC), offers funding to nonprofit organizations in Prince George’s County, Maryland, to support high-quality arts and cultural projects that enhance community life. With a maximum award of $10,000 per project, the grant aims to foster creativity, accessibility, and inclusivity in the local arts and humanities sectors. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations based in Prince George’s County for at least one year before applying. Organizations must demonstrate at least 1-2 years of prior arts or cultural programming and provide proof of residency. Projects must primarily benefit county residents and align with PGAHC's goals of equity, diversity, inclusion, and innovation. Organizations must also comply with a 1:1 cash match requirement to leverage additional funding, with up to 50% of the match permitted as in-kind contributions. Funding can cover materials, supplies, facility rentals, guest labor such as artist honorariums, and accessibility tools like sign interpretation or closed captioning. However, restrictions apply; the grant does not fund employee salaries, capital improvements, or activities outside of the county and select neighboring regions. Programs must occur between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. Applicants must outline their project’s goals, anticipated outcomes, and evaluation metrics. Additionally, they must submit a detailed budget, organizational financial documents, work samples, and key staff bios. Submissions must demonstrate alignment with PGAHC’s mission to advance the arts and provide clear plans for community engagement and inclusivity. The application deadline is January 31, 2025, via the Submittable Grant Portal. PGAHC will notify applicants of funding decisions within 60 days of the deadline. Grantees are required to acknowledge PGAHC in all funded project materials and submit a final report to remain eligible for future funding. An informational session will be held on January 7, 2025, to assist prospective applicants. For further questions, applicants can contact the grants team at PGAHC.
