Grant Description

The State Energy Program (SEP) is a grant opportunity supported by the U.S. Department of Energy and administered by Community Services. The program promotes energy efficiency and conservation through financial and technical assistance. The annual allocation for SEP funds varies between $350,000 and $380,000. Eligible activities include energy education, installation of energy-efficient measures, transportation initiatives, and renewable energy technologies. Priority is given to schools, political subdivisions, state agencies, and non-profit organizations. Awards range from $5,000 to $50,000. Applications are accepted at any time, but to guarantee consideration for the upcoming program year, applications or a letter of intent must be received by March 1st.
