The New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) is making up to $3M in Title I Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Statewide Activities funding available under the Apprenticeship Expansion Grant (AEG-4) Request for Applications (RFA). The purpose of this RFA is to expand New York State (NYS) Registered Apprenticeship (RA) training by increasing employment opportunities for approximately 130 apprentices, with a focus on underrepresented populations. These apprentices will enter trades in high-demand occupations, with a focus on the emerging fields of Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare, Hospitality, and Information Technology, as well as other in-demand occupations. Please note that this solicitation focuses on promoting the expansion of NYS RAs and as such, RAs in the field of Construction are not eligible for funding under this RFA unless the trade is to be used for the upkeep and maintenance of a facility owned by the business entity employing the apprentice, such as plant maintenance trades.

The Iowa Arts Council, part of the Iowa Economic Development Authority, administers Art Project Grants to support high-quality arts and cultural projects in Iowa. The Outdoor Equity Fund is currently open for the 2023 grant cycle, with a total of $1.7 million awarded to 54 programs in 16 counties. This funding will provide outdoor experiences for approximately 20,000 kids. The grant cycle is open on a rolling basis until funds are expended, and additional funding is available for this cycle. The fund aims to support transformative outdoor experiences that foster stewardship and respect for lands, waters, and cultural heritage. Potential applicants are encouraged to complete their applications early as multiple rounds of reviews are anticipated. In previous years, the Outdoor Equity Fund has awarded over $800,000 to 48 organizations in order to get 12,391 kids outside through 2023. In 2021, the fund supported 57 recipients who will collectively engage more than 22,000 young New Mexicans in outdoor activities through 2022. In its inaugural year in 2020, the fund awarded over $270,000 to 25 applicants across the state. The Outdoor Equity Fund seeks to address the disparity in access to outdoor experiences for underrepresented youth and aims to provide opportunities for these individuals to explore and appreciate the natural beauty of New Mexico.

The Minnesota Housing, in collaboration with Greater Minnesota Housing Fund (GMHF), is launching the Single Family RFP through its Community Homeownership Impact Fund. This initiative is designed to expand and preserve affordable homeownership opportunities across all counties in Minnesota. The program’s mission aligns closely with the foundation’s broader vision: ensuring that every Minnesotan has access to safe, affordable, and sustainable housing. Priority activities include acquisition, rehabilitation, and resale of existing properties; new construction of single-family homes; and stand-alone affordability gap assistance. Additional emphasis is placed on projects that advance Tribal housing initiatives, ensuring that Tribal Nations and communities have equitable access to homeownership opportunities. By offering flexible funding types—including forgivable loans and deferred downpayment assistance—the program allows local governments, nonprofits, Tribal entities, and developers to structure their projects to meet community-specific needs and financial realities. Expected outcomes are centered on measurable, high-impact results. Awarded projects must lead to the creation or preservation of affordable, owner-occupied homes with no more than four units, ensuring at least one unit is owner-occupied. The program anticipates that these efforts will expand the affordable housing inventory, increase homeownership rates among underrepresented populations, and stabilize neighborhoods. Success metrics will include the number of homes developed or rehabilitated, the number of households served, demographic diversity among beneficiaries, and the degree to which affordability thresholds are met and maintained. Additionally, the program seeks to generate long-term community benefits such as improved health outcomes, greater neighborhood investment, and increased intergenerational wealth. The foundation’s strategic priorities and theory of change rest on the belief that stable, affordable homeownership is a critical lever for advancing economic mobility and community resilience. By combining capital investment with equitable housing strategies, the program aims to dismantle systemic barriers to homeownership and create conditions for sustained prosperity. Through partnerships with municipalities, Tribal governments, nonprofits, and developers, Minnesota Housing and GMHF are fostering a collaborative ecosystem that ensures funding leads to meaningful, measurable, and community-driven change. The National Park Services (NPS) African American Civil Rights Grant Program (AACR) will document, interpret, and preserve the sites and stories of the full history of the African American struggle to gain equal rights from transatlantic slave trade forward. The program funds history and preservation projects using the NPS report, Civil Rights in America, A Framework for Identifying Significant Sites, as a guide in determining the appropriateness of proposed projects and properties. AACR grants are funded by the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF), administered by the NPS, and will fund a broad range of history projects including survey and planning, research and documentation, interpretation and education, and collections conservation. Grants are awarded through a competitive process and do not require non-Federal match.There are separate funding announcements for physical preservation projects and for historical research/documentation projects. Funding announcement P24AS00541 is for physical preservation of historic sites only; P24AS00540 is for history/research/documentation/survey/nomination projects. New Mexico Arts offers grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 to nonprofit organizations and other entities for arts and cultural programs, including performing, visual, literary, media, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary arts, with a focus on equitable distribution of funds across all categories and communities, to be used during the state fiscal year from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

The Rural and Underserved Clinical Rotations grant, authorized by Minnesota Statutes Sec 144.1505, aims to enhance health professional training sites, including those for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, dental therapists, and mental health professionals. Nonprofits and cooperatives must be in good standing with the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions at the time of application. The program is designed to ensure equitable access, but applicants that have received consecutive grants in 2021, 2022, and 2023 are not eligible for the 2024 cycle, though they may reapply in 2025. Additionally, organizations with outstanding final reports from prior awards will not be considered until reporting is completed. Each grant is intended to support projects that can be completed within a one-year timeframe. WHEDA emphasizes accountability and sustainability in project delivery, requiring applicants to demonstrate that their initiatives will be completed efficiently and will have a measurable, positive impact on local housing outcomes. The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota (WFM) Fund for Safety is dedicated to innovating and resourcing initiatives that aim to end gender-based violence, encompassing sex trafficking, domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, and sexual harassment. This grant program is deeply aligned with WFM's mission to invest in women’s safety and work collaboratively with communities to eliminate gender-based violence. The foundation operates with an ethos of listening and responding to community concerns, which drives its strategic, cross-sector plans and efforts to create collective impact. The Fund for Safety prioritizes ending all forms of violence affecting women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals, including sexual violence, physical violence, state and structural violence, and the exploitation and abuse experienced by elders and people with disabilities. WFM is committed to investing in organizations that serve Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian and Pacific Islander communities, LGBTQ+ people, people with disabilities, Greater and rural MN communities, and immigrant and refugee populations. The definition of a woman for this program is inclusive of anyone who identifies as a woman, including transgender, gender nonconforming, gender nonbinary, and all gender-expansive people who experience gender-based structural harm. The program has three core priorities, with anticipated outcomes focused on healing from trauma and cultivating community-centered solutions for survivors. These priorities include strengthening systems and infrastructure to sustain the movement to end gender-based violence, building and sustaining movements for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, missing and murdered Black women and girls, and preventing violence against Latina women. Additionally, the fund aims to prevent cycles of gender-based violence among young women, men, and gender-expansive people by addressing misogyny, misogynoir, and toxic masculinity through education to promote healthy gender norms and relationships. Expected outcomes and measurable results stem from these priorities, aiming to address systemic inequities and reform policies that perpetuate gender-based and state-sanctioned violence. The grant specifically offers a one-year investment of $20,000 in general operating support. Eligibility criteria include Minnesota-based nonprofit tax-exempt organizations, schools, unincorporated organizations with a fiscal sponsor, and American Indian Nations, all operating programs within Minnesota that benefit women, girls, and gender-expansive people, or organizations serving at least 50 to 75 percent of these populations. Programs must demonstrate the ability to work in partnership with other organizations and drive innovative solutions that advance gender and racial equity and justice by increasing access to safety.
