The Community Waste Reduction Grant (CWRG) is a competitive grant program that provides funding for innovative projects that significantly reduce waste and/or increase the diversion of recoverable materials that would otherwise be sent to the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill for disposal. Funding Information The minimum grant amount that can be requested is five hundred dollars ($500.00). The maximum grant amount that can be requested is thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000.00). Projects should emphasize partnership building and collaboration, and address opportunities to leverage the waste stream for community and economic benefit. Funding for infrastructure, and outreach and education activities that increase the reduction, reuse, recycling, and composting of materials will be considered. Applications with a focus on implementing reduction and diversion processes and systems, that also include outreach, education, and awareness as part of the project are strongly encouraged. Below is a partial list of CWRG criteria: Must occur within SWACO’s jurisdiction of Franklin County, Ohio. Funding is available for establishing, improving, or expanding waste reduction, reuse, recycling, composting, or food donation activities. Recipients must provide a twenty percent (20%) cash contribution toward the project. If a project is awarded grant dollars, SWACO requires grantees to document and measure the impact of the project’s activities. No approved purchases can be made before the execution of a grant agreement. If awarded, funded projects must be completed by December 31, 2025. A final report detailing the successes, challenges, and impacts of the project’s waste reduction and diversion efforts must be provided at the end of the project. The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) is soliciting grant applications from organizations, institutions and agencies interested in serving as a hub with the capacity to provide Early Head Start (EHS) supports and services that meet the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), support achieving the QIN program goals and advance OSSE’s Start Early strategic priority. Services are to be delivered to EHS-eligible children, families and CCPs through a District-wide hub responsible for EHS services in all Wards of the District either directly or through contractual agreements with other organizations. Applicants may propose to provide EHS services via one of three hub models:  Child development centers and child development homes/expanded child development homes (i.e., family child care);  Child development centers only; or  Child development homes/expanded child development homes only. Funding Information The total funding available for implementing the QIN program is approximately $2,210,919 in local funding and $2,145,726 in federal funding per year, for each of the five years of the grant, based on similar amount of funding received for this grant in previous fiscal years.  Project Period All grants under this RFA will be five-year awards (total award period), beginning on Oct. 1, 2024 and ending on Sept. 30, 2029, contingent upon availability of funds and successful completion of continuation applications after each budget period. Each budget period will be one year, with the first period beginning Oct. 1, 2024 and ending Sept. 30, 2025. Eligibility Criteria OSSE will make this grant available through a competitive process. Eligible applicants include non-profits, for-profits and faith-based organizations that can demonstrate expertise in:  early childhood education;  EHS;  financial management;  quality assurance;  ongoing monitoring of program deliverables; as well as  previous experience providing supports related to education and child development, health, family engagement, transition services, disability services, program management and quality improvement and human resources, including within the District’s mixed delivery early care and education system. Eligible organizations to serve as the hub(s) must have a track record, experience and capacity to:  Serve EHS-eligible children, families and CCPs located in Wards 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. Grants will be awarded for specific eligible activities, such as speaking on a panel, participating in a working group, or participation in other decision-making processes. The PP Grant Account cap per organization of $15,000 will ensure a proportional distribution of funds over time and across various organizations. Submissions for grant awards will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the grant period and payment for these discrete engagements will be prompt.

This RFA implements program activities set forth in the Texas General Appropriations Act (GAA), Article VII-49, Rider 50, 88th Texas Legislature, Regular Session (2023). The GAA includes the following requirements: 1) the number of persons served by a qualifying entity in the program year must be no fewer than seven hundred (700) unique individuals; 2) the number of persons served by a qualifying entity who have obtained Regular Employment at or above one hundred and twenty-five percent (125%) of federal poverty income guidelines must be no less than fifty percent (50%) of the total number of individuals returned to the workforce; and 3) the number of employers who will commit to hiring individuals upon exit of the program must be no fewer than one hundred (100) employers.

TWC is committed to improving access to quality child care across the state of Texas. This RFA seeks Applicants to foster sustainable career pathways that increase the availability of qualified Early Childhood Educators through the development of RAPs, which combines OJL with related classroom instruction. RAPs have been expanding into more nontraditional occupations, including early childhood education in the form of child care RAPs. Child care RAPs will assist in improving the education and training that Early Childhood Educators receive, thus allowing them to improve their understanding of child development and improve the quality of child care. High quality training and supports for Early Childhood Educators are important to the child care field.

The Construction Loan Program focuses on the activities that repair, replace, or create a facility. A construction loan project may comprise any combination of pre-construction and construction elements. The Public Works Board awarded funding for its most recent construction cycle at its September 8, 2023 meeting. View the full list of awardees and applicants in Box. The Board anticipates opening its next construction funding cycle in Spring 2024. The Public Works Board (Board) is authorized by state statute (RCW 43.155). Its purpose is to loan and grant money to counties, cities, and special purpose districts to repair, replace, or create infrastructure.

Summary – In accordance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), the new four-year NFJP grant cycle went into effect on July 1, 2020. The Employment and Training Administration (ETA) is issuing this TEGL to notify NFJP grantees of PY 2023 grant allotments and to provide instructions for submitting required documents. Grantees must submit required documents, including program plans and budget documents. NFJP grantees approved to serve youth in PY 2022 and who met their youth enrollment goals may also apply for additional youth funding via this TEGL. Please see the summary provided in section 3(c). ETA is using a streamlined application process for these funds and limiting the competition to existing NFJP grantees who were both approved to serve youth in PY 2022 and met 100 percent of their youth enrollment goals. To confirm if a grantee met their youth enrollment targets, ETA will use the rolling four quarters performance report for the cohort period 1/1/2022 – 12/31/2022. These additional funds will enable successful applicants to enhance the delivery of youth workforce investment activities described in the NFJP regulations at 20 CFR 685.310 to eligible MSFW youth, which include the activities described for the WIOA Youth program in WIOA section 129 and 20 CFR 681.460. This funding provides additional resources so that selected NFJP grantees can increase access to education and provide career services and training that result in good quality jobs for MSFW youth, which advances the Department’s youth strategy called Youth Employment Works.
