The Rural Outreach Grant, offered by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), supports state and local REALTOR® association initiatives focusing on rural issues such as broadband access, well and septic systems, open space preservation, environmental standards, and planning and zoning issues. The program consists of two levels of funding: Level 1 supports efforts to educate REALTORS® and the public about rural issues, with a maximum award of $3,000; Level 2 supports initiatives such as studies, events, and public outreach on rural issues in partnership with public and private stakeholders, with a maximum award of $7,500. Applications for 2024 are open from January 2 through October 15 or until commitment levels reach 100%.

The Scranton Area Community Foundation is offering Community Needs Grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 to nonprofit organizations in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, to fund projects addressing community needs in areas such as education, arts, environment, human services, animal welfare, and civic affairs, with applications evaluated based on community impact, organizational capability, and project feasibility & sustainability.

The Cultural Facilities Grants are designed to support Vermont nonprofit organizations and municipalities in enhancing, creating, or expanding the capacity of existing buildings to offer cultural activities to the public. These activities broadly include artistic, creative, aesthetic, historic, or scholarly events such as performances, exhibits, readings, film screenings, workshops, and more. Eligible projects may involve improvements to wiring, heating, lighting, plumbing, accessibility features, stage enhancements, permanent display installations, environmental controls, hazard mitigation, and energy efficiency upgrades. The grant period is set from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025, and includes a mandatory match on a 1:1 basis with specific requirements for cash and in-kind contributions. Applications are encouraged from entities that own a facility in Vermont that has been in existence for at least ten years.

The Tier 1 Local Projects under the 2023 Outdoor Recreation Trails+ Grant aim to support conservation-oriented, shovel-ready projects that benefit specific communities. These projects must be publicly accessible and demonstrate economic benefits through improved quality of life, public health outcomes, and eco-tourism. Eligible applicants include Tribes, Pueblos, Nations, municipalities, counties, public schools, colleges, soil and water conservation districts, and land grant associations. Nonprofits are not eligible. Projects must be completed within 24 months, with grants awarded up front and applications accepted on a rolling basis starting July 1, 2023 until funds are expended or June 30th 2024 (for FY24)

This program provides funding to Pennsylvania school districts, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, and businesses to help them transition to cleaner transportation through projects like purchasing alternative fuel vehicles and installing refueling equipment.

The Lancaster Community Fund, established in 1999, is a permanent, unrestricted charitable endowment committed to the well-being of the Lancaster community. It enables individuals, organizations, and businesses to support a wide range of charitable interests within Lancaster, including the elderly, historic preservation, the arts, the environment, and education. Each year, a portion of the Fund's earnings is distributed as grants to enhance community welfare. The Fund operates through a nine-member volunteer advisory board responsible for fundraising and grant distribution. This funding opportunity provides financial support to technology incubators in Illinois to improve their facilities and services, ultimately promoting economic growth and innovation in the state.

This grant cycle has been designed for smaller projects that complement existing and/or regional HHW programs in California. Grant applications must include one or more of the following types of projects: HHW public education and outreach for general audiences (may include extended producer responsibility [EPR] information).Implementation of sustainable EPR collection opportunities, to include but not limited to: (1) Promotion of an ongoing retail take-back program such as batteries or fluorescent lamps at local hardware stores, businesses, or government facilities.(2) Promotional collection events hosted at businesses or government facilities.(3) Promotional public education and outreach materials specifically for local retail take-back programs. Grant funding covers: Incremental costs related to retrofitting vehicles to operate on alternative fuels; Incremental costs to purchase alternative fuel vehicles; Cost to purchase and install the necessary fleet-refueling or home-refueling equipment for alternative fuel vehicles; Cost to perform research, training, development, and demonstration of new applications or next-phase technology related to alternative fuel vehicles. Grant Opportunity: Outdoor Education Partnership Phase II Date: Jul 2019 Description: This grant opportunity is open to multiple organizations, including the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Ducks Unlimited, and Chippewa Nature Center. The goal of the project is to develop and expand place-based environmental and sustainability education at schools. Funding will support the creation of outdoor education areas that can be utilized by local public and private schools in their curriculum. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program will restore habitat through habitat restoration projects, with financial assistance from Ducks Unlimited. Chippewa Nature Center will lead the curriculum and program development for each site, tailoring it to the State of Michigan curriculum and school preferences. Approximately 3,000+ students are estimated to be educated in the outdoor classrooms every year. Because of their investments, they anticipate: more districts and ESD’s will apply for outdoor school programmatic funding from OSU Extension in future years, improved access to outdoor school programs for 5th and 6th students throughout the state, systematic integration of environmental education in the K-12 system will increase, outdoor school providers will be more prepared to effectively engage and support the diverse populations of Oregon, the outdoor school experience will increasingly reflect the diverse perspectives, knowledge and relationships all people in Oregon bring as stewards of their natural and built environments. In 2024, Gray Family Foundation is accepting three types of funding requests in support of outdoor school. Please note that Gray Family Foundation funding to support outdoor school programming is limited and they anticipate that 2024 will be the last year they will offer outdoor school program funding. They continue to encourage providers, schools, districts to engage with and leverage the funds and grants available via Measure 99 through OSU Extension Service Outdoor School. If you are a private/independent school please review the guidance below around exploring accessing Measure 99 funds before submitting a request: Planning grants for schools or districts. These grants will support the planning required to launch or revise an outdoor school program in geographic regions or amongst communities currently with limited or no outdoor school opportunities. Schools, districts or ESDs can submit a request for a planning grant to support launching an outdoor school program with the intention of applying for programmatic funding from OSU Extension Service Outdoor School in the future. Planning grants for outdoor school program providers. Current or prospective outdoor school program providers may request funds to plan how to better serve all 5th and 6th grade Oregon students. Specifically, Gray FF seeks to increase the capacity of program providers to deliver high quality, culturally responsive programming to better serve all Oregon communities. Program grants to schools or student groups currently ineligible to apply for OSU Extension Service Outdoor School funding. Gray FF acknowledges that there are limitations of how OSU Extension Service funds may be distributed which may exclude private, charter and home school students from eligibility. In the past several years there have be solutions developed in collaboration with ESDs and public schools that allow independent and charter schools to access Measure 99 funds. Gray FF will still accept requests for programmatic grants to help these students participate in the outdoor school experience but encourages schools to first explore alternative options with their local ESD or public school system. Eligibility Criteria  The Foundation will consider proposals submitted by schools, districts, colleges, government agencies or 501(c)3 non-profit organizations serving Oregon.
