The City of San Carlos is offering a Childcare Grant Program, providing funding between $10,000 to $100,000 for local childcare centers, family childcare homes, and non-profit centers to fund capital improvement projects aimed at increasing childcare spaces, particularly for infants and children with special needs, with applications due by October 18, 2024.

The District of Columbia (District) Department of Human Services (DHS) Family Services Administration (FSA), hereinafter referred to as the “DHS/FSA” or “Grantor,”” is accepting applications for Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 to offer a variety of support services for youth and families. The primary objective of this project is to assist with helping youth and families reach specific goals/objectives or accomplish a given task. There are three (3) core goals targeted by YSD staff in their work with the participating youth and their families, including Spanish-speaking youth and families:  reducing truancy (and other associated behaviors – running away, extreme disobedience, etc.); avoiding involvement in the juvenile justice system  improving youth functioning and behavior in the school, home, and community. All youth in YSD programs have an assigned Case Manager and/or Social Worker and/or a Functional Family Therapist (FFT) Funding Information Total Estimated Program Award Funding: Up to $900,000.00  Award Ceiling: $200,000.00  Award Floor: $50,000.00  Period of Performance October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025. Target Population The primary target population for Youth and Family Support Services covered by this RFA shall be youth ten (10) to eighteen (17) years old, as well as transition age youth up to twenty-four (24) years old and their families participating in YSD programs and services. Eligibility Criteria Local social services organizations, not-for-profit corporations, and charitable organizations, including faith-based organizations serving the target population are eligible to respond to this RFA. Organizations incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation or religious corporation or public agency under the laws of the District, or a corporation formed under laws of another state and authorized under District law to conduct corporate activities in the District, or provide care and services in the District and have been granted federal tax exempt status are eligible as well. Clackamas County Public Health Division (CCPHD) Tobacco Prevention and Education Program (TPEP) is seeking applications from independently owned Clackamas County convenience stores to reduce the impact of tobacco on public health. Donor Name: Clackamas County Public Health Division (CCPHD) State: Oregon County: Clackamas County (OR) Type of Grant: Grant Deadline: 07/08/2024 Size of the Grant: $10,000 to $100,000 Grant Duration: Less than 1 Year Details: CCPHD TPEP will dedicate a portion of the tobacco tax revenue, allocated by the Oregon Healthy Authority, to one convenience store retailer agreeing to support community health by ending their tobacco sales and transitioning their business model to better support community health. Supporting the Retailer In addition to grant funding, TPEP will offer the following support to the retailer: Ongoing technical assistance to support the development and implementation of a new business plan. Assistance will be made available by LivelihoodNW, a local non-profit aiding businesses in all industries and at all stages of operation. Assistance in getting authorized to accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Women, Infants and Children (WIC) benefits from customers (if applicable). Connections to local producers and distributors to learn about opportunities to introduce new product categories and items. Professionally designed promotional materials to showcase new products and engage customers. Earned media and community outreach to highlight the new business model and commitment to community health as well as draw new customers. Benefits to the Retailer A Clackamas County retailer may benefit from healthy retail in several ways, including: Taking advantage of products with higher mark-ups than tobacco. Reaching new customers and expanding their customer base. Saving money on tobacco licenses. Staying ahead of trending tobacco regulations. Earning free store publicity. Differentiating their business from others in the community. Reducing crime associated with tobacco sales. Supporting a healthy community. Funding Information Up to $20,000 is available to help one retailer refocus their business model to one that supports a healthy community. Grant Period November 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must meet the following requirements: Own an independently operated convenience store located in Clackamas County that is not part of a corporate franchise or owned by a corporate entity (such as 7-11, Plaid Pantry, etc.) and has authority to determine which products the business carries. Hold a valid, current Oregon Tobacco Retail License. Actively sell tobacco products as of the application deadline for this notice of funding opportunity. Must hold the following insurance and limits depending on the scope of the proposed project: Commercial General Liability, Commercial Automobile Liability, Professional Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Abuse and Molestation Liability and Cyber Risk Limits. Will County has allocated $225,000 in grant dollars to support the important work of early child care providers in Will County. Child care providers pursue grant funding for educational materials, developmental support services, and/or improvements to physical space and technology. The “Elevate Will County – Child Care Provider Grant” represents a key priority for Will County: Supporting and empowering early childhood development throughout the county. The grant is funded in the FY2024 budget, utilizing allocated dollars from the State of Illinois Cannabis Sales Tax. Will County is partnering with Birth to Five Illinois to administer the grant. Grant awards will range from $2,000 to $10,000. Providers can submit multiple applications for award through the grant. Child Care providers have until May 22, 2024 to apply!
