This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is being issued by the U.S. Department of Energys State and Community Energy Programs (SCEP) on behalf of the Local Goverment Energy Program (LGEP). This FOA will support eligible local governments and Tribes to implement projects that provide direct community benefits, spark additional investments, meet community-identified priorities, and build local capacity. Community benefits may include creation of local economic opportunities for workers, workforce measures and agreements, community revitalization, lowered energy burdens, increased access to renewable energy, improved air quality, increased public participation in energy decision-making processes, and improved quality of life for local residents. Projects may span a range of geographic scopes and wide variety of technology areas including, but not limited to: building efficiency and/or electrification, electric transportation, energy infrastructure upgrades, microgrid development and deployment, renewable energy, resilience hubs, and workforce development. The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disorders (NIDDK) intends to promote a new initiative by publishing a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications for the TrialNet Coordinating Center (TNCC). The TrialNet network identifies people with type 1 diabetes (T1D) at stages before and after onset of clinical symptoms and enrolls them in trials and studies aimed at prevention of progression to clinical disease and preservation of insulin production. The TNCC participates in ongoing studies and intervention trials as well as the design and conduct of new studies and intervention trials. The TNCC will: (1) support a wide range of research projects in varying stages of development, implementation and completion, and (2) provide data and sample management, including standardized acquisition, quality control, dissemination and public accessibility. The TNCC will be responsible for network administration and operations, including the evaluation, selection, and funding (through subcontracts) of Clinical Centers and central support units (such as laboratories) necessary for the conduct of TrialNets clinical studies. The TNCC PD/PI will be a voting member of the TrialNet Executive and Steering Committees, contributing to network leadership. This NOFO requires a Plan for Enhancing Diverse Perspectives (PEDP), which will be assessed as part of the scientific and technical peer review evaluation. Applications that fail to include a PEDP will be considered incomplete and will be withdrawn. Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the NOFO instructions carefully and view the available PEDP guidance material. This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. The NOFO is expected to be published in Spring 2024 with an expected application due date in Summer 2024. This NOFO will utilize the U01 activity code. With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to enhance and expand mentoring services for children and youth impacted by opioids and other substance misuse. This program supports mentoring programs to reduce juvenile delinquency, substance misuse, and problem and high-risk behaviors such as truancy. This program supports the implementation and delivery of mentoring services to youth who are currently misusing or dependent on substances (including opioids, stimulants, and other licit or illicit substances), youth at risk for misusing substances, and youth with family members who are currently misusing or dependent on substances. Mentoring services can be one-to-one, group, peer, or a combination. Through this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), the National Cancer Institute (NCI) invites applications for support of investigator-initiated studies addressing mechanisms by which bariatric surgery impacts cancer risk, and seeks to draw in talented scientists who study bariatric surgery to investigate its effects on cancer, rather than shorter term outcomes such as weight loss and diabetes. The Department is combining three major discretionary grant programs and two fiscal years of funding into one Multimodal Projects Discretionary Grant (MPDG) opportunity to reduce the burden for state and local applicants and increase the pipeline of shovel-worthy projects that are now possible because of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. The Infrastructure for Rebuilding America (INFRA) program is a competitive program. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides approximately $8 billion for INFRA over 5 years, of which approximately $2.7 billion will be made available through this NOFO. Applications will be evaluated on six outcome criteria, economic analysis, project readiness, and statutory requirements. The six outcome criteria are: (1) safety; (2) state of good repair; (3) economic impacts, freight movement, and job creation; (4) climate change, resilience, and the environment; (5) equity, multimodal options, and quality of life; and (6) innovation areas: technology, project delivery, and financing. Applicants that wish to submit the same application to be considered for more than one grant program under the MPDG combined NOFO only need to submit their application through one Grants.gov opportunity number and that application will be considered for all programs for which it is not opted-out or ineligible. It is not necessary to submit multiple of the same application under the other MPDG Grants.gov opportunities.

With this solicitation, BJS seeks to administer the Bureau of Justice Statistics Statistical Support Program (BJS-SSP). The primary aim of the BJS-SSP is to provide statistical and methodological support for existing and new data collections. BJS collects, analyzes, publishes, and disseminates information on policing, prosecution, courts, institutional corrections, community supervision, and victimization. The BJS-SSP will support efforts to expand the agencys capacity to collect, analyze, and report criminal justice data, increasing the breadth of substantive issues.
