Federal Diversity Equity and Inclusion Grants

The National Park Services (NPS) African American Civil Rights Grant Program (AACR) will document, interpret, and preserve the sites and stories of the full history of the African American struggle to gain equal rights from transatlantic slave trade forward. The program funds history and preservation projects using the NPS report, Civil Rights in America, A Framework for Identifying Significant Sites, as a guide in determining the appropriateness of proposed projects and properties. AACR grants are funded by the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF), administered by the NPS, and will fund a broad range of history projects including survey and planning, research and documentation, interpretation and education, and collections conservation. Grants are awarded through a competitive process and do not require non-Federal match.There are separate funding announcements for physical preservation projects and for historical research/documentation projects. Funding announcement P24AS00541 is for physical preservation of historic sites only; P24AS00540 is for history/research/documentation/survey/nomination projects. This federal funding program provides resources to local agencies that assist low-income individuals and families in overcoming poverty through essential services and community development initiatives.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION U.S. Embassy Belgrade of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications for the Democracy Commission Small Grants Program. Please follow all instructions below. Priority Region: Serbia Program Objectives: Proposals should align with the U.S. Embassys objectives to strengthen democracy and protect human rights and empower local organizations to advance these changes and reforms throughout Serbia. Grant activities may take any number of forms, including trainings, conferences, workshops, courses, academic competitions, summer camps (focused on language study, sports, etc.), cross-border exchanges, curriculum development, exhibits, hackathons, or app development, online projects, mock trials or moot court competitions, simulations, and role-playing activities (e.g., Model Congress, Model United Nations), film or theater festivals, performances, or other activities. The proposal should also demonstrate how the program will further engagement in underserved communities and with individuals from underserved communities. Proposals should demonstrate how addressing racial equity and underserved communities will enhance the programs goals and objectives, as well as the experience of participants. Participants and Audiences: Primary audiences for proposals should be youth, students, teachers and administrators, young professionals, and/or others related to your program theme. Depending on focus, projects may have secondary audiences or beneficiaries including media, civil society organizations or wider professional audiences, which you may note in the proposal. The Embassy of the United States of America, New Delhi, announces an open competition to implement a program to promote equal access for LGBTQI+ communities by strengthening leadership capacity. This program is built upon the foundation of promoting inclusivity, equality, and accessibility of government services for the trans and intersex communities, recognizing their unique challenges in accessing education, healthcare, employment, and legal recourse against discrimination. The U.S. Embassy announces an open competition for assistance awards through this Notice for one or a series of programs to support the Moldovan media sector. The objective of the project is to strengthen and develop the local production capacity of Moldovan media in the interests of providing a plurality of views, supporting editorial independence, and increasing the quality of domestically produced media in Moldova. It also aims to improve Moldovanss ability to critically assess mass media and social media, and to support qualified organizations that can increase the level of professionalism of Moldovan journalists and media outlets. Proposals may cover all types of media tools and channels social interaction and social media as well as mass media. Proposals are free to target any audience within Moldova, but should not be targeted at the whole of Moldova. Successful proposals will identify and target a specific subset of the population and should clearly explain why targeting that demographic group is important. The Embassy invites applicants to identify and extend existing good practices and to include in their proposals a discussion of how the proposal does not duplicate existing activities undertaken by other entities. The submission of the Statement of Interest (SoI) is the first step in a two-step process. Applicants must first submit a concise statement of interest designed to clearly communicate program idea and objectives using the Microsoft Forms link provided later in this document. This is not a full proposal. The purpose of the SOI process is to allow applicants to submit program ideas for evaluation prior to requiring the development of a full proposal application. Upon a merit review of eligible SOIs, selected applicants will be invited to expand on their program idea(s) by submitting a full proposal application. Full proposals will go through a second merit review before final funding decision are made. Program Objectives: This proposal plans to fund a diverse range of programs. Support independent news and information media outlets (broadcast, online, or print) that are committed to factual, objective and thorough reporting on issues relevant to Moldovas economic and political development; Develop the institutional capacity, competitiveness, and sustainability of independent media outlets; Support innovative approaches to using technology, including alternative delivery platforms, to more effectively inform Moldovan audiences on issues relevant to Moldovas economic and political development; Upgrade media outlets online presences, including improved security and resilience against hacking and other threats; Develop and strengthen media outlets on the regional and local level in the Republic of Moldova.

The Equitable and Affordable Solutions to Electrification (EAS-E) Home Electrification Prize offers up to $2.4 million in prizes for innovative solutions that advance the electrification retrofits of residential homes across all building types and geographies. The goal is to make electrification more affordable and accessible in existing U.S. homes, with a focus on equitable solutions for all homeowners, including those in low-income and under-resourced communities. The prize supports design solutions, tools, and technology innovations that enable the switch to electric products and reduce carbon emissions. Low-power electrification solutions are strongly encouraged. The competition consists of two phases: Phase 1 focuses on presenting proposed solutions and up to five winners receive a $5,000 cash prize and a $75,000 voucher to work with DOE national laboratories.
