This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites new applications for Centers for Collaborative Research in Fragile X andFMR1-Associated Conditions (hereafter termed "Fragile X Centers"). Despite many remarkable advances in fundamental knowledge about FMR1-associated conditions, gaps in knowledge remain about the processes that drive the variability in clinical features (phenotypic heterogeneity) among affected individuals. In this round of competition, therefore, all centers will be required to identify an overarching theme directed at broadening our understanding of factors underlying the phenotypic heterogeneity and/or variability in response to interventions seen in one or more FMR1 associated conditions. Successful Fragile X Centers will be composed of multidisciplinary teams of basic, translational, clinical, and/or data science investigators applying precision medicine approaches (seeking to understand which mechanisms and interventions are most applicable to specific individuals or groups) to address the center's proposed overarching theme. This NOFO includes specific requirements about inclusion of research on human subjects or human phenotypic data; diversity of participants or materials being studied; the types of allowable clinical trials; and involvement of early-stage investigators. In 2024, SSA is looking for a new organization to help manage the ARDRAW program through a cooperative agreement. The new ARDRAW program will include one-year $15,000 stipends for supervised independent graduate-level student research on rehabilitation, work, and disability topics to a broad spectrum of graduate students, to cultivate new scholars in the field of disability research. In accordance with recent Executive Orders to advance racial equity, support underserved communities, and increased access to federal funding opportunities (including EO 13895 and EO 14112), a new objective for ARDRAW is to the increase the recruitment and participation of students of color and other underrepresented populations in the research areas of work, rehabilitation, and disability, for the purpose of fostering new and inclusive perspectives on disability research.

The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to implement the demonstration authority in Section 373(i) of the Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended (OAA), using the framework provided by the Recognize, Assist, Include, Support, and Engage (RAISE) Family Caregivers Act and the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers (the Strategy). Specifically, this project seeks to: 1) better understand the extent to which caregiver/care navigator services are used in the programs and entities funded under Title III-E of the OAA; 2) design and test new materials and methods for delivering these services; and 3) evaluate the effectiveness and opportunities for scaling and replicating them. ACL will award one cooperative agreement to a single entity to undertake activities of a national scope and reach. The project will last for a duration of 36 months, with three, 12-month budget periods. The amount of federal funds available will be up to approximately $882,000 per year, pending availability of federal funds.The intended recipients of the technical assistance developed in this project are those entities typically involved with implementing and operating programs funded by the OAA, including state units on aging (SUAs); area agencies on aging (AAAs); local aging services and family caregiver support providers; kinship, grandparent and grandfamily services providers; tribes and tribal entities, and other entities that may be part of the aging and/or tribal services networks. Additionally, given the NFCSPs inclusion of family caregivers of individuals with early onset-dementia and older relative caregivers supporting adults with disabilities, ACL desires that proposals identify how these populations will also be included in the work.

This solicitation supports the provision of services to crime victims in American Indian/ Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities through an administrative formula program funded under a set-aside designated by law from the Crime Victims Fund (CVF). The program is not competitive and is open only to federally recognized Indian Tribes (applying individually or as consortia), ANCSA regional corporations, and their authorized designees.

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is seeking applications from organizations that provide culturally responsive services to crime victims and survivors from communities that have been historically underserved, marginalized, adversely affected by inequality, and disproportionately impacted by crime, violence, and victimization. These victims often face barriers that prevent them from accessing critical services. Such barriers can isolate these victims and contribute to distrust of the government and government systems. Unaddressed needs can lead to long-term physical, emotional, social, and financial problems for survivors. Survivors from underserved communities are more inclined to seek services from organizations rooted in their communities that understand and are skilled at addressing the challenges specific to their communities. Through this funding opportunity, OVC will support services for victims by organizations that understand the complex, multilayered, culturally specific challenges that crime victims from these communities face when attempting to access assistance and services.

This announcement is modified. Under section Step 4 Criteria: Bonus Points Project located in a geographically underserved community, the state of Idaho was listed in error as not having an active CED job creation project. After further review, it is acknowledged that the state of Idaho has an active CED project. Therefore, the state of Idaho is removed from the bonus points list. Applicants who submit applications from those states will not be considered for the additional points based on State or territory without an active CED grant. However, they can be considered for bonus points under being persistent poverty county or Native American community. The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services (OCS) will solicit applications to award approximately $1.5 million in Community Economic Development (CED) discretionary funds to Community Development Corporations (CDCs) to stimulate new CED project development through administrative capacity building.OCS aims to align this funding opportunity with the following priority areas: (1) Executive Order 14008: Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad and the Justice40 Initiative, which underscore funding support for energy communities, (2) increased equity in geographic distribution of CED funds, in accordance with the CED statute, and (3) breaking down service silos and leveraging existing partnerships across OCS programs to reduce poverty through a wraparound services model for communities with low incomes. The objective of the CED Planning Grants is to stimulate new projects in underserved and under resourced communities. OCS intends to center equity in this funding opportunity, focusing these resources in persistent high-poverty areas with struggling economies that have been unable to put forth a viable CED project in the past.
