The Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) promotes economic opportunities while supporting safety and quality of life concerns across Ohio's extensive rail infrastructure. At 5,187 miles, Ohio's network of active rail lines is the fourth most extensive in the nation. The high mileage of rail lines in Ohio reflects the close integration of rail with Ohio's economy. Ohio's businesses are committed to using Ohio's rail network. Ohio's largest railroads, CSX and Norfolk Southern, publish Public Projects Manuals to assist public entities in interacting with their organizations. Regional and short-line railroads often publish information on their websites to identify appropriate processes and contacts. If needed, ORDC is happy to assist Ohio communities with identifying the correct railroad contacts. The ORDC assists with railroad-roadway coordination by providing technical assistance to ODOT District project managers and area engineers, local municipalities, contractors, and others regarding railroad issues and requirements for public projects.

The California Department of Education (CDE), Early Education Division (EED) announces the availability of approximately $32.7 million to expand California State Preschool Program (CSPP) services statewide, as appropriated in the 2021 Budget Act. The CSPP funds are available for local educational agency (LEA) applicants to provide full-day/full year, part-day/part-year, or any combination thereof, of CSPP services.; The California Department of Education (CDE), Early Education Division (EED) announces the availability of approximately $32.7 million to expand California State Preschool Program (CSPP) services statewide to eligible children and families, as appropriated in the 2021 Budget Act. The CSPP funds are available for local educational agency (LEA) applicants to provide full-day/full year, part-day/part-year, or any combination thereof, of CSPP services. Funding will be allocated by county, and within each county by the Local Planning Council (LPC) priority area. Funding awards will be made based on the LPC priority in the order of highest passing score first. In the event that a county does not fully utilize its allocation, the funding will be redistributed to other applicants, based on the LPC priority followed by highest score. In the event of any tie in scoring, the applicant with headquarters in the service delivery area(s) specified in the Request for Application (RFA) will be given preference over applications with the same score that are not headquartered in the specified area(s), per California Code of Regulations, Title 5 (5 CCR) Section 17723. The CDE encourages all eligible applicants to apply. The CSPP funds will be used to provide services for eligible children beginning in fiscal year (FY) 2024–25.

This program provides funding to public school districts and area career and technical schools for necessary improvements to their facilities.

The Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation Program (THCPP) offers Emergency Grants to address urgent courthouse needs. The grants assist counties facing catastrophic events, unforeseen conditions threatening courthouse integrity, or damage due to deferred maintenance. Emergency Grants prioritize critical issues and funding availability, supporting courthouses and their occupants. For previously restored courthouses, remedial action is emphasized, with applicants expected to seek insurance claims or administrative remedies for construction defects. Any recovery through legal settlements can lead to grant recapture.

This grant provides funding to counties, municipalities, nonprofit organizations, and local promotion groups in Cook County to promote tourism and increase overnight stays in paid accommodations through marketing and promotional activities.

The County Arterial Preservation Program is similar to the Department of Transportation's Highway Preservation Program. The CAPP program is designed to help counties preserve their existing paved arterial road networks. The program generates approximately $30 million per biennium. Less than 3% of the revenue is spent for administration (WAC 136-300). The County Arterial Trust Account (CAPA) was created by Washington State Legislature in 1990 to fund the preservation of paved arterials on the statewide county road system. The CRABoard administers these funds through the County Arterial Preservation Program (CAPP) program via WAC 136 - 300. The CAPP is funded with 0.45 cent of the fuel tax, which generates approximately $30 million per biennium and $3 million per biennium from the Transportation Partnership Account (TPA). These funds are allocated directly to the counties to help them avoid costly roadway failures had the surface repairs been delayed. The County Road Administration Board, utilizing less than three percent of the revenue, monitors each county's overall arterial preservation program and accomplishments year by year. This encourages effective planning and ensures the funds are used where they are most needed. See CAPP submittal forms and due dates.

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), the System Agency, is accepting Applications for the Rural Mental Health Initiative Grant Program (RIGP) as directed by Senate Bill 1677, 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023. Through the Rural Mental Health Initiative Grant Program, HHSC will award grants to Rural serving Local Mental Health Authorities (LMHAs), Local Behavioral Health Authorities (LBHAs), nonprofit organizations, or governmental entities to be matched in accordance with the specifications outlined in Section 5.4., to address the mental health needs of individuals with mental illness or serious emotional disturbance residing in Rural Texas in accordance with the specifications contained in this Request for Application.

The Rural STEM Network Grant VI, administered by the Nevada Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation, and Technology (OSIT), aims to support innovative initiatives that help develop a diverse workforce in Rural Nevada with the skills and education needed by STEM industries. Projects should address increased participation in high-quality STEM programs from underserved groups, raise awareness about STEM opportunities, and ensure high-quality STEM education with engaged business partners across all counties, cities, and districts. Funding is available up to $50,000, with applications due by June 28, 2024. Eligible projects include pilot programs, scaling up existing programs, or extending successful initiatives from other regions.

The Governor and the General Assembly direct the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to administer grants for specific miscellaneous purposes to bolster the state’s economy, promote a clean environment, and improve the overall quality of life throughout the state of Illinois. This grant program is available to any entity receiving funding via lump sum appropriation. Eligible costs for this program are bondable costs associated with site improvements. This includes demolition; grading/earthwork; landscaping; sidewalks; replacement of bridges; construction and/or upgrade of roads, parking lots, curb and gutter, parks and other open spaces as well as structures within them; etc. This may include associated streetscaping.

NetWork Kansas, in partnership with K-State 105, is offering a one-time grant of $100,000 to $500,000 to support new or early-stage projects focused on entrepreneurship and small business development, with a maximum funding request of $125,000 per project and a 25% match required, open to for-profit businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, and municipalities in Kansas.

EELP launched in the fall of 2010 with the purpose of establishing a low interest revolving loan fund to assist commercial and industrial businesses in implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements, which, in turn, reduce operating costs, improve productivity, and make Tennessee businesses more competitive. In January 2016, EELP was expanded to offer financing to local government entities, including municipalities, counties, school districts, and other public agencies.

The Equitable Building Decarbonization (EBD) Direct Install Program aims to distribute funds across Northern, Central, and Southern California to improve energy efficiency in low-income households. This involves installing electric appliances and related upgrades in single-family, multifamily, and manufactured homes within underresourced communities. The program emphasizes collaboration with community-based organizations to ensure culturally appropriate outreach and education. Applicants must exhibit expertise in residential building decarbonization.
