Providing support that will assist Gwinnett nonprofits in more effectively carrying out their missions – now and into the future. The program may provide support that is capital in nature, including, but not limited to: Equipment Software solutions Vehicles The goals of this funding opportunity are:  To increase the effectiveness of local nonprofits they will strive to fund as many organizations as possible with the funding available.  Identify nonprofit organizations that have limited capacity but are doing impactful activities for Gwinnett County residents most in need.  Support nonprofit organizations with capital funding that will sustain or enhance their organizational capacity to meet community needs. Funding Information Eligible NPOs can receive only one capital support award. They anticipate capital support awards to range between $3,000 and $100,000 depending on the funded project.  Gwinnett County will award up to $4,550,000 for NCB Capital Support grant projects. Project Period The duration of each award is 12 months. Eligibility Criteria Must be a private nonprofit organization registered as a 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(19) organization with the IRS in operation for at least 12 months prior to the application submittal date. Must have a demonstrated history of serving Gwinnett County residents. Has experienced a negative economic impact due to COVID-19. The Georgia Council for the Arts is excited to announce the 2024 Vibrant Communities Grants to support single art projects such as an art exhibit, a theatre production, a series of workshops for children, or an artist residency. Donor Name: Georgia Council for the Arts State: Georgia County: Selected Counties Type of Grant: Grant Deadline: 08/30/2024 Size of the Grant: $1000 to $10,000 Grant Duration: Less than 1 Year Details: The Georgia Legislature allocated funds to GCA specifically to increase the reach of arts grants across the state. These grants are intended to fund arts programs in as many counties as possible. Some examples of projects that could be funded by the Vibrant Communities grant are concerts, theatre productions, class field trips, art exhibits, murals, art festivals, or art classes. In addition, due to the ongoing impact of COVID on arts programs, GCA is including online programs to the list of program types eligible for Vibrant Communities Grant funding. Funding Information Vibrant Communities Grant applicants may request no more than $5,000 and no less than $1,000. Project Period Propose an arts project that will be completed between October 15, 2024 and June 1, 2025. The Climate Solutions & Equity Grant program is designed to accelerate the Drawdown Georgia mission to advance achievable climate solutions that prioritize equity across the state. Donor Name: Drawdown Georgia State: Georgia County: All Counties Type of Grant: Grant Deadline: 07/26/2024 Size of the Grant: $10,000 to $100,000 Grant Duration: 2 Years Details: The goal of the Drawdown Georgia Grant is to fund projects that will scale climate solutions and prioritize equity in under-invested BIPOC communities in Georgia. BIPOC is a broad term that encompasses many communities in state. They especially encourage applications from and for Black and Indigenous communities in Georgia in recognition of the present day legacy of enslavement and colonialism in the state. They believe that BIPOC communities, especially those that have experienced historical disinvestment, stand to benefit from climate solutions and must be centered in the work. The Drawdown Georgia Grant will focus specifically on 10 of these solutions that best fit the capabilities, budgets, and social capital of the nonprofit organizations and networks that this grant will support, including: Alternative Transportation Composting Climate Smart Agriculture Energy Efficiency Improvements Food Waste Reduction Large Scale Solar Plant Based Diet Rooftop Solar Tree planting Wetlands Protection Funding Information This RFP will result in up to five, two-year grants of up to $100,000 per year. Eligibility Criteria The grant aims to fund a cohort of projects from across Georgia that meet the following criteria: Nonprofit Status The primary applicant must be a US-based 501(c)3 public nonprofit organization in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service or have a fiscal sponsor that demonstrates such status. Values in Practice Applicants should demonstrate commitment to under-invested BIPOC communities, and share how these communities will benefit from the proposed work. They strongly encourage and seek applicants from organizations that have BIPOC leadership among their staff, programs, and/or board of directors.
