Inequities: Priority will be given to proposals focused on serving historically marginalized and underserved groups within the LGBTQ+ community, including older adults, people living with disabilities, youth, trans and gender non-conforming people, People of Color, and women/femmes. Funding Information For 2024, grants may be requested for general operating support. Grants will generally range from $20,000 to $40,000 and the Fund will award up to $400,000 in grants. The grant term is one year. Ensure that consumers in the program experience a warm handoff between the grantee and the CMHC or other service provider. 6. Funding for the creation and/or implementation of firearms restraining order programs, state crisis intervention court proceedings, and related gun violence reduction programs/initiatives. The purpose of this NOFO is to award one or more state agencies grant funding to develop and implement effective and equitably targeted FRO public information, outreach, and training strategies. Grant program designed to train underrepresented population to successfully enter the construction industry and the trades. The program focuses removing barriers for entry and transitioning graduates to DOL-registered apprenticeship programs. The goal of the Illinois Works Act is to ensure that all Illinois residents have access to State capital projects and careers in the construction industry and building trades, as well as provide contracting and employment opportunities to historically underrepresented populations in the construction industry and the trades. The Illinois Works Pre-apprenticeship NOFO and program is a critical component in the success of the Act, by increasing the number of qualified construction and building trades apprentices who are women, people of color, veterans or from otherwise underrepresented populations (as defined by the Illinois Works Jobs Program Act) and preparing them to enter full apprenticeship programs on their way to careers in construction and the building trades.

The Governor and the General Assembly direct the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) to administer grants for specific miscellaneous purposes to bolster the state’s economy, promote a clean environment, and improve the overall quality of life throughout the state of Illinois. IDHS is working to counteract systemic racism and inequity, and to prioritize and maximize equity and diversity throughout its service provision process.

IDHS is seeking to fund entities with experience in training, technical assistance, and support to build the RPSA grantee’s program capacities. Successful applicants will work with grantees across multiple RPSA grant programs in Chicago and/or Greater Illinois, based on grantee selection. To address the spike in firearm violence, the Illinois General Assembly passed the Reimagine Public Safety Act (RPSA) (430 ILCS 69) in 2021. The RPSA creates a comprehensive approach to ending Illinois' firearm violence through targeted, integrated behavioral health services and economic opportunities that promote self-sufficiency for victims of firearm violence.

Research and input from economic development experts indicate that there is a shortage of large sites that can be successfully developed in the desired 1-2year time frame. DCEO intends to offer incentives to encourage infrastructure investment in large industrial sites, in order to make such sites viable alternatives for large economic development projects. A grant provided through this opportunity will support site readiness planning activities and infrastructure investments needed to prepare industrial property to support investment to Winnebago County and new job opportunities in the industrial sector. Mandated by legislation to develop an internship program for preservice agricultural education teachers. This internship is a summer internship program for the preservice teachers to gain agricultural industry field experience and content knowledge. The funds awarded are to pay for the internship expenses for each participant and fund an administrator for the program. The Hospital Health Protection Grant Program (HHPGP-Equity25) for State Fiscal Year 2025 provides funding to named safety-net hospitals in Illinois. The aim is to improve health equity, access to quality care, and reduce health disparities in underserved communities. Funding will support ordinary and contingent expenses for hospitals participating in the State’s Medicaid managed care program. The grant is authorized under the Safety-Net Hospital Health Equity and Access Leadership Grant Program.
