Program Objectives: The U.S. Embassy Kyiv Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) invites Ukrainian nongovernmental organizations to apply for funding to highlight and promote American culture and values through presenting collaborative projects and/or American content at Ukrainian cultural festivals. For the purposes of this solicitation, a cultural festival is an organized series of acts, performances, exhibitions, film screenings, or culinary displays. The activities can include workshops, masterclasses, Q sessions, or other types of interactions between participants. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation is seeking applications to expand access to mental and behavioral health services and resources for youth through models that are effective in the short term (1-3 years), and which leverage a trained workforce that goes beyond specialty trained behavioral health care clinical and professional roles. Projects must contribute to improved protection of one or more public water supply sources. Projects will be expected to provide long-term benefits to source water quality. Projects with measures to reduce the threat of contaminants that could impact a specific drinking water source or regional drinking water supply are eligible for funding: Contaminant source identification (research) Contaminant pathway removal (closure of abandoned or unused wells) Contaminant removal (hazardous waste collection, pollution prevention, and waste reduction) Contaminant management (implement best management practices [BMPs] and structures to divert contaminated runoff from the source) Restoration and/or conservation of the ecological function of source water protection areas Education and information sharing (brochures, workshops, and media campaigns) Security measures to protect the source Grants can be used to implement security measures as long as the project protects the source area. Projects that protect the physical extraction structure (e.g., well, spring, or intake structures) are eligible for funding: Fencing around wells or springs. The fencing can include other buildings or tanks, as long as the fenced-in area is part of the source area. Gates for well and intake access roads and access control for those areas. Alarms, signs, cameras, locks, and lights for sources if they are clearly related to protecting the source water area. Grant funds are intended to target activities that go beyond normal operation and maintenance standards and existing system infrastructure deficiencies. GVI includes community members with moral authority connecting with group members or individuals susceptible to violence to deliver a credible moral message against violence. Law enforcement puts groups on prior notice about the consequences of further group-involved violence for the group as a whole. And support and outreach providers make a genuine offer of help for those who want it.  Gun and Gang Crime Investigation/Suppression: Programs (or task forces) to focus on perpetrators of gun and gang-related crimes. This can include the illegal possession of firearms, the illegal sale of guns, or other crimes committed to benefit a “gang.” Multiagency cooperation should be demonstrated (e.g., both state and federal involvement). Firearms Analysis: Programs that should enhance and provide support for state and local law enforcement agencies that analyze firearms and ballistic evidence (including NIBIN analysis and tracing of firearms).  Prevention and Reentry Programs: Programs dedicated to violent crime prevention and the identification of persons at high risk of offending (e.g., educational, faith-based, community-oriented, outreach, etc.). Additionally, programs dedicated to the successful reentry of offenders with housing, educational, and vocational partnerships. Projects that build climate resiliency of Wisconsin’s natural resources through natural climate solutions or climate adaptation. All projects should demonstrate measurable outcomes. They encourage innovative projects that leverage resources and partnerships. Funding Information Grants range from $500 to $2,000. Eligibility Criteria Applicant must be one of the following: a public charity with approved 501(c)(3) exempt status (under section 509(a)(1), 509(a)(2), or 509(a)(3) Type I and Type II); a federal, state, or local governmental unit, an American Indian nation or tribal community; or an accredited school, college, or university. The following types of organizations are not eligible for funding: individuals; businesses; section 509(a)(3) Type III supporting organizations; private foundations; and private operating foundations. Projects must benefit Wisconsin’s natural resources or people. The total project budget may not exceed $10,000, and overhead costs shall not exceed 15% of the grant. Project expenses may not have been incurred prior to submitting the application. A one-to-one match is required. Match may include in-kind support such as volunteer hours or donated materials. Our Town is the National Endowment for the Arts creative placemaking grants program. Through project-based funding, we support projects that integrate arts, culture, and design activities into efforts that strengthen communities over the long term. Successful Our Town projects demonstrate a specific role for arts, culture, and design as part of strategies for strengthening local communities, ultimately centering equity and laying the groundwork for long-term systems change tailored to community needs and opportunities. All applications are submitted by one organization and require one partner organization. The applicant/partner pair must include 1) a nonprofit organization and 2) a local government or quasi-government entity. Cost share/matching grants range from $25,000 to $150,000, with a minimum cost share/match equal to the grant amount. The Arts Endowments support of a project may start on July 1, 2025, or any time thereafter. A grant period of up to two years is allowed.
