The Aquatic Stewardship Grant Program, formerly known as the Aquatic Education Grant Program, is organized by the ODNR Division of Wildlife. It aims to foster aquatic stewardship through hands-on educational experiences facilitated by partnering organizations. Eligible projects must offer an aquatic education learning experience and include educational components beyond mere fishing skills, aimed at promoting aquatic stewardship. A final report must be submitted to the ODNR Division of Wildlife upon project completion. Suggested activities include the Teen Leadership Fishing Retreat, OSU Stone Lab Program, Water Quality & Fish Monitoring Program, and Aquarium setup for the Trout in the Classroom program. The Ohio Division of Wildlife's "STEP OUTSIDE" grant program is designed to support local government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other family and youth-oriented facilities in promoting outdoor skills such as fishing, hunting, trapping, archery, and shooting sports. This grant aims to fund activities that are unaffordable for the sponsoring agency or organization and is not intended to support existing programs or provide ongoing funding for new programs or activities. Eligible applicants include city, county, and community park and recreation agencies, local and state conservation clubs, and youth-oriented groups such as scouts, 4-H, YMCA/YWCA, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, etc. The program emphasizes that private individuals are not eligible. The application period is ongoing throughout the fiscal year, with applications required to be submitted at least 60 days in advance of the event.

This NOFO seeks applications from the SUD and MHD research communities that coordinate efforts to characterize the effects of neuromodulation on brain circuits and behaviors relevant to both SUD and MHD. To accomplish this goal, studies would specify inclusion/exclusion criteria to capture variance in both SUD and MHD symptoms. Further, studies would include measures of engagement of circuit-level targets in response to neuromodulation and dimensional measures of cognition and behavior relevant to both SUD and MHD. This research approach uses circuit dynamics to understand neurobehavioral function and to develop ecologically valid and descriptive models of the shared and discrete dysfunction across these conditions.

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) Bureau of  Nutrition and Physical Activity (BNPA) administers funds provided by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the operation of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Breastfeeding Peer Counseling Program (BFPC) for the State of Arizona. The USDA nutrition programs are discretionary, and each provides a specific service to women, infants, and children who are low-income and at nutritional risk. The overall goal of all the USDA Nutrition Programs is to increase food security and reduce hunger by providing eligible participants access to nourishing food and supportive nutrition education. Arts Respond - Cultural District Project Eligibility: TCA Cultural Districts; VERIFIED College Arts Institution, Established Arts Organizations, Established Arts Organizations of Color, Government Local Arts Agencies, Local Arts Agencies, Rural Arts Providers located within a TCA Designated Cultural District Intent: Projects that use the arts to diversify local economies, generate revenue, and attract visitors and investment. This competitive grant program provides project assistance grants on a short-term basis and may include administrative costs directly related to the project. This program is designed for projects that focus on significant cultural tourism projects. These projects should serve at least one of the following: High quality arts programming that will attract a significant number of visitors from 50 miles or more outside the community (i.e., blockbuster art exhibitions, national or regional premieres, major festivals) Enhancements to the cultural district to make it more accessible, attractive, cohesive-looking, and safe for visitors Improved signage and wayfinding for the district Promotion of the district; this may include the district’s website, branding, and marketing Organizational support for the management and operations of the district (TCA Cultural District only) These grants may include capital improvements. Teaching with Primary Sources Program (TPS) The Teaching with Primary Sources program has been the Library of Congresss premier educational outreach program. The goals of the program have included providing instructional materials, tools, education and professional development that enhance teachers ability to integrate digitized primary sources from the Library of Congress into instruction that builds student literacy, critical thinking skills, content knowledge and ability to conduct original research. This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites grant applications from institutions/organizations that propose to build a Medical Rehabilitation Research Center. The centers will have a specific rehabilitation research theme and be comprised of a research project supported by 3 cores. The 3 cores will have functions within the center as well as functions nationwide. Together, the cores will support: administrative functions (including an optional pilot program), resource sharing, and community engagement and outreach. The Medical Rehabilitation Research Centers will contribute tomedical rehabilitation research infrastructure by developing and disseminating techniques, data, theories, research programs, and expertise with the goal of enhancing the capability of medical rehabilitation investigators to understand mechanisms of functional recovery, develop therapeutic strategies, identify clinical care gaps, and improve the lives of people with disabilities. Description: The Idaho Fire Chief’s Association (IFCA) is proud to announce the 2024 Fire Fighter License Plate (FFLP) grant program, now in its 24th year. This initiative, funded through the Idaho Fire Fighter’s License Plate (FFLP) Fund, aims to enhance fire safety education across Idaho by providing grants to eligible organizations. Since its inception, over $850,000 has been awarded to support fire safety education programs. For 2024, approximately $75,000 is available for distribution, with awards covering up to 75% of the grant fund balance as of July 1, 2024. Applications must align with legislative guidelines, focusing exclusively on fire safety education for firefighters, fire chiefs, and the general public. Applications are due by June 28, 2024, with awards announced in August.

This program will support projects to identify and characterize factors associated with gender-affirming hormone therapy (GAHT) that may impact/contribute significantly to the prevention and treatment of HIV and/or co-infections with other sexually transmitted infections (STI)s in transgender individuals. For this funding opportunity GAHT is defined as a medical intervention, including but not limited to estrogen and/or testosterone treatment, that results in acquisition of secondary sex characteristics that align with an individual's gender identity. A growing body of data indicates that GAHT may impact the effectiveness and implementation of biomedical HIV prevention or treatment strategies and/or co-infections with other STIs. A number of factors in transgender populations present research challenges including variability in GAHT regimens, use of auxiliary drugs during GAHT care, access to participants, and access to existing cohorts, datasets, and samples. Consideration of appropriate controls, including cis-gender men and women is also a barrier.
